21.01.2022 This 308 powered HQ had been doing the rounds as the owner was never quite happy with it. After some investigating we found problems we stemming from the way the carby had been reconditioned previously. After a little bit of love we got it on the dyno and quickly had it on song. A lovely little cruiser with wide rear rubber that now looks and runs great!

20.01.2022 Hi guys and gals, just a quick post to let you know we will be closed over the Xmas break from Thursday 21st Dec. But fret not, we will be back on board Monday 8th January raring to go. 19.01.2022 Although it seems over recent years that quality carby tuning has become something of a dark art, we continue to do a tonne of it these days alongside our never-ending performance EFI tuning - and we couldnt be happier! This pristine 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 was in yesterday for a brake master cylinder replacement, along with a Holley 750 double pumper carby upgrade, a new set of rocker covers and a custom tune to tie it all together.

19.01.2022 This 2014 Holden RG Colorado 2.8L diesel work ute was in for a custom tune, and did it deliver! The customer was complaining of a lack of mid-range grunt. As you can see from the time on the dyno, a custom tune helps these diesel engines pretty much everywhere throughout the entire rev range. Should make his work time a bit more fun!

16.01.2022 A good result after fitting a stroked 408 built by Windford Engineering in this Dodge Challenger. Featuring a Lunati solid camshaft, RPM Air-Gap manifold and Edelbrock heads, this very nice combo was a joy to tune.

16.01.2022 COVID UPDATE Unfortunately after receiving confirmation from the VACC, we are no longer legally allowed to continue to trade under the stage 4 restrictions. Following this advice we will be closing the workshop until the restrictions are lifted. If we havens already, We will be in contact with all our customers that currently have a booking with us.... 16.01.2022 To say weve been a wee bit busy of late would be an understatement - hence the lack of cars being shown here. So we thought wed show a few of the older vehicles that weve been tuning, modifying and maintaining along with our usual share of late model Ford and Holden vehicles.

14.01.2022 Weve heard some horror stories of late of butchered tunes on blown late-model Mustangs, but to be honest we have a great time working with forced induction on these 5.0L V8s. This black beauty had been on our dyno previously for a custom tune after the customer fitted his own exhaust system, and we were delighted to have it back in the shop again! After the fitment of an Edelbrock Enforcer supercharger and a smaller pulley for a bit more boost, we pushed this great performin...g package as far as the factory fuel pump would let us. It started to run out of fuel pump at 12.5 psi and 537 horsepower on The Dreamcrusher, but I tell you what, this thing is damn fast on the road and performs beautifully. A good result and a great time doing it!

12.01.2022 Although a standard Isuzu D-Max is decent from factory, the changes felt on the road (not just dyno) from a custom tune can be pretty staggering. Out of the box they feel a little laggy - but the extra 150 Nm of torque @ 1500 RPM means this workhorse now wheel spins with ease! The extra 3.5 psi doesnt hurt at wide open throttle either Time to adapt to part throttle rather than simply smashing your foot through the floor whenever you need a little get up and go.

10.01.2022 Merry Christmas friends and fam! Today is our last day for 2019, and we will be returning on Monday 6th January 2020. 2020 - that sounds so weird... Thank you all for such an incredible year, and from the entire team @ Casey Automotive, we hope you all have a safe and memorable Xmas break.

10.01.2022 EFI tuning is our bread and butter, and the torque gains from custom turbo diesel tuning are awesome. However, carby tuning is something very few shops specialise in any more so we are always thrilled to tune the classics. These two lovelies were in for their dyno tune today and performed very well. The 1955 and 1957 Chevs both rolled out with great gains and were running beautifully all in time for the weekend. Happy times ahead!

09.01.2022 Just a few of the cars that came through the shop this week. Weve had an incredible last few months doing a huge amount of interesting work, and things certainly arent slowing up heading into the Xmas break!

09.01.2022 This 1968 Chevy Nova goes pretty damn hard. Its V7 Vortech blown 496ci is now tuned for E85, and is supported by a 2 speed Powerglide and a 12 Bolt 3.5 diff with 31 spline axles. Tough. Bound to be on a few Christmas lists this year...

07.01.2022 What do you guys reckon? 1968 RS SS Camaro - check Blown 400 Chev V8 - check Set up fuel system to run E85 - check ... Fast EFI Engine Management - check 330 rwkW @ 7 psi - check This classic now has the performance and precision of EFI without having to sacrifice too much of that old-school charm. It can be a difficult balance to achieve but we think the brief has been met on this one.

06.01.2022 This proud owner has painstakingly built his HG Premier into what it is today. Listing its features that include a 350 Chev, TH400, 9 inch and a Holley carby doesnt really do justice to the quality of work, time and care that hes put into it. We build some decent cars here at Casey, and the team was rightly impressed with his work! Jarrod brought it in for a safety inspection and a roadworthy. We found that the fuel mixtures were too rich which had caused plugs to foul up and a build-up of a lot of gunk in the carby. We fitted a new metering block and completely rebuilt the carburettor and it ended up running like a dream. This classic Holden has been done very bloody well and it was a pleasure working on it.

06.01.2022 Pauls 70 Series Landcruiser is a workhorse that enjoys long ruts on the beach as well as some off-road action. It ticks all the boxes save one - its not much chop at low RPM. It needed a quality tune, custom to suit his setup and use. However, its not uncommon for the clamping pressure of the factory clutch on the 70 Series to not handle such a sizeable increase in torque. So, we sorted that out for him as well! We upgraded his clutch with a kit capable of handling the m...assive gains from this custom tune. Check out the extra 200Nm of torque* below 2,000 RPM! The improvement on the road was night and day. *The dotted green line is the standard torque, and the dotted red line is the torque after tuning for those wondering

05.01.2022 Weve been working on this customers FG XR6T for years now, and bit by bit its grown into a setup that is properly fast and safe as houses, whilst remaining totally comfortable to drive - without costing a mint. Tuned on E85 and running 27 psi boost, the engine was reinforced with upgraded valve springs and head studs. The higher fuel demands when on load are supplied by 1000cc injectors, an upgraded in-tank pump that feeds an external twin pump surge tank for a little ins...urance. Being clearly in need of an exhaust we went with a 4" dump, 5" hi-flow cat into a 3.5" cat-back system. The twin plate clutch is actually very comfortable to drive whilst being stout enough to handle the massive torque from the high flow Garrett turbo. Dyno run video is in the comments. Good times

We want to thank all of our amazing customers over the years who have helped make our business what it is today. Congratulations to our fearless leaders Pete and Troy, what an amazing run. We arent slowing down and there is much more to come very soon so stay tuned!!

03.01.2022 Carby tuning this 308 powered 1978 HZ Sandman was a real treat today. Upgraded with an intelligent cam grind to give it just a hint of note at idle without being over the top. The 4 speed TH700 was a nice choice as it looks standard but delivers the convenience of an extra gear. A beautifully restored bit of history - these photos alone cant do it justice.
