25.01.2022 Our next player profile features the rather unique man-mountain Connor Davis. We’re not sure if he took all his questions completely seriously, but it makes for some good entertainment. We can’t wait to see him back on the training track!

24.01.2022 Attention all players As per previous communication, the state government have relaxed some of the COVID-19 restrictions which will allow us to begin modified hockey training albeit with some tight restrictions. Hockey Victoria after liaising with Sport & Recreation Victoria and utilising the AIS Framework for Rebooting Sport in a COVID-19 Environment have recently provided all hockey clubs some guidelines for a return to hockey. We are currently working through these guideli...nes and over the next few days in conjunction with the coaches, will put a plan in place so we can begin hockey training at the earliest possible date. In the meantime it is encouraged that the hockey community download the COVIDSafe app. The COVIDSafe app helps find close contacts of COVID-19 cases. This app helps state health officials to quickly contact people who may have been exposed to COVID-19. I would also like to ask everyone if you are experiencing any of the COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive to COVID-19 or are generally unwell in any way please do not present yourself at any hockey activities. So, I hope everyone is rested and ready to get back on the pitch. At this stage training will be very different to what we have been used to, but none the less it is time to start getting excited and hopefully a return to a more normal training and then games won’t be too far away. Please be patient while we are preparing the club venue and training activities over the next few days, we will have some more details to provide everyone very soon.

23.01.2022 UPDATED TRAINING TIMES Hi all, from this week, here is our new training schedule. NOTE: The U16s will still train this Friday, then revert to Tuesdays from July 14. Training groups will still be required, everyone still needs to sign in and out and please continue to use hand sanitiser and social distance as much as possible.

22.01.2022 | Meet Captain Courageous Tegen Hyland! Thrust into a leadership role, Tegen is one of the club’s brightest young talents and a key to the women’s unit’s success in 2020. #CaseyHockey

21.01.2022 COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS UPDATE Hi all, as some of you may be aware, some restrictions have been relaxed today. It's important to note that Monday night's men's training and Tuesday night's women's training will go ahead as per the rules and schedules we have had set in place for the past two weeks. From Wednesday:... We can have up to 20 people in each zone. We will provide more information on this, but we think 20 people in a half is too many, so we will limit the group sizes, possibly to 15, and still stagger the training starts, but it means we can train longer and with more players. We must continue to observe social distancing wherever possible, use of hand sanitiser and rules around only one person touching the ball will remain Changerooms and showers will remain closed. Come to training kitted up and leave straight away, as we have been doing. Everyone must still sign in and sign out, so please be as helpful as possible and provide your availability as soon as possible when we provide the times of training. More information to come from Dave and I in the coming days, but this is a positive move for all our players. Thanks Mick

While this is great news, let’s not drop the ball on all our hard work! Keep up the social distancing at training until July 13 and continue to observe strong hygiene practices thereafter. Main thing is, if you’re sick, stay home!... More big club announcements on the way. STAY TUNED See more

16.01.2022 Under 16 were back training for the first time last night. Great to see good numbers at training. Going to be an exciting year.

16.01.2022 Casey Hockey Club is THE family club. We boast a rich history of family ties that date back to the club’s origins. Incredibly, 10 families have played in over 10,000 games for the club. We are proud of these contributors and are excited to welcome a new generation of families beginning their hockey journeys at the club.

15.01.2022 | COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT Casey Hockey Club is proud to appoint Tina Horwood as our new senior women’s coach. Our best wishes are with Jim Galanos, who has had to stand down, due to a personal issue. We are thankful for the work Jim has put in at the beginning of the season and hope to welcome him back to club when he is in a position to do so. Tina is a bright and bubbly figure around the club who began playing hockey in 1983 as a seven year old. An accomplished player in So...uth Australia through her youth, Tina moved to the ACT for university, coaching the U18s at Tuggeranong Valley Hockey club. She spent four years as women’s coordinator at Tuggeranong Valley, while playing first and second grade. After taking almost a decade off to have children, Tina came back to the sport last year, becoming a strong addition to our women’s unit. As an assistant to Jim, she has had a crash course in coaching and we are very pleased that she has stepped up to the plate in what is a difficult time as we prepare to move into the COVID-19 affected season. Please give Tina a warm Casey welcome to the head coaching role. See more

09.01.2022 Our girls training the house down under lights, while showing how social distancing is done. The effort and understanding of every player who has trained in adhering to the strict COVID-19 rules is to be commended. Great work guys, keep it up

07.01.2022 IMPORTANT: ALL HOCKEY ACTIVITIES SUSPENDED Hi all, In light of today’s announcement by Premier Daniel Andrews regarding further lockdowns due to the coronavirus crisis, the club has made the difficult decision to suspend all training and other sanctioned hockey activities as of now. We are very proud of the work all our members have done in trying times to prepare for the season and we’re sorry that we have to go back into lockdown.... We will provide more details from Hockey Victoria as they arise. See more

07.01.2022 COVID-19 Update I hope everyone is keeping well and making the most of there extra time being spent at home with family. As I am sure you are all aware the Victorian government has made some small changes to the COVID-19 restrictions. One of the changes has slightly opened the door for the introduction of some hockey activities. This being groups of up to 10 people allowed for outdoor activities. Hockey Victoria are currently working on clarifying the guidelines and working w...ith all hockey clubs, so some sort of hockey activities will be able to begin. This means that I would not expect any return to training for at least a week. It is likely that in a week or two we will have a plan in place for small training groups to resume. This will not be training as per normal, but in smaller groups and many restrictions on the activities and how we use the facility will be in place. At least it is a start. So, by all means start getting excited but at the same time lets be patient. We will have more details for everyone in the coming week or so.
