25.01.2022 Music and Movement 4-5yrs What is Music and movement class? - MM is an introduction to dance, we believe that one of the most important aspects to dance is musicality. Being able to 'hear' the music, in its beats and rhythm is the foundation to dancing. . In this class you will hear the teaching clapping (a lot), doing activities that promote coordination and crossing the midline is fundamental in dance. This skill is amazing for pre-reading children too. ... . Another focus is gross motor skills (the big muscles) we do this in a fun and engaging way. Beginners Ballet follows in the next year of dance, this is more about ballet technique and learning ‘steps’. . MM class is a great introduction to dance. . 24.01.2022 Adult Beginners Tap - Parents are not quite ready to show their faces but I LOVE how much they have learnt this Term. One Mum said, ‘I really dislike exercise but this is so much fun, can we do two classes a week!’ Term 2 starts Tuesday 20th April, New adults are welcome as we begin a new series of steps. We also have an Advanced Adult Tap for ex-students or previous ‘tappers’. For this class it’s encouraged that you have finished Grade 5 or higher.

22.01.2022 What a day. 8am - 9pm We held our Easter concert performance, Easter colouring in competition and Movie night The Easter concert was the first time some have ever been on a stage, for others it was the first time doing it solo, some had a basic routine and others more complex. Easter performance is that small step to becoming more comfortable about doing something (for some)that is nerve racking. Congratulations to Piper, Audrey and Frankie for being the colouring in winner...s. Picked before the movie night ( not by me, and independent judge) and all were at the movie night to receive their prize. Finished off the evening with a Movie, lots of dancing and some treats. See you all back for Term 2 (week day classes are still on next week)

18.01.2022 Casino Dance Academy is excited to welcome Lisa Hegedus to our team. Lisa is a professional dancer and has returned to the region during the recent covid border closures. Lisa is will be working with our juniors and seniors in Jazz, also with our competition students throughout the year. We are excited to announce an OPEN Hip Hop class for anyone 12yrs - 16yrs and this class will be open to all of the community even if you have not studied Hip Hop or dance before.... Also, a beginner's teen/adult jazz which will be a great way to start your fitness journey in 2021 whilst having a lot of fun. 15.01.2022 Tiktok Tuesday - During Covid and lockdown Casino Dance Academy set weekly Tiktok Challenges for students and families to keep up the fun of dance whilst the studio was closed. The students had so much fun we are offering a tiktok inspired dance class open to all children, even ones who haven't learnt any styles of dance before. Class Tuesday 5:00-5:30 open to both boys and girls 10-12yrs

Styles include music and movement (4yrs) Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Vocal coaching, Hip Hop, Tik Tok, contemporary, lyrical, eisteddfods, solo tuition, troupe/performance groups and a huge annual concert. Term 1, 2021. Classes return 1st Feb (Casino Civic Hall)... Enrolment Days: 27th,28th,29th Jan. (10 - 4pm) . Where: ArchNOllie 4/138 Walker St (Next to Beaurepairs) These dates are early bird enrolment fee days. $20 per student. Bring along your Active and Creative Kids vouchers.
