23.01.2022 TO MASK OR NOT TO MASK? As of today, we are being ‘strongly encouraged’ by these businesses to wear masks when shopping: Woolworths... Dan Murphy's Big W BWS ALH Group hotels Bunnings Yesterday, NSW Health urged masks be worn in 4 circumstances: in hotspots where there’s a high number of community transmissions indoor setting where physical distancing is difficult eg supermarkets or public transport customer facing staff in indoor settings with a higher rate of transmission eg cafes, restaurants, pubs and clubs places of worship Vulnerable, high-risk people should wear masks in public at all times. With Victoria having declared a State of Disaster and curfews being imposed on Melburnians, wearing a mask where social distancing is difficult is not too much to ask. It’s not mandatory though. So don’t panic if you haven’t got your hands on masks yet. And please, don’t judge others if they’re masked or not. Everyone will decide what’s best for them, their loved ones and our community.
