Ri...chmond Valley residents now have the opportunity to nominate an individual who has made an outstanding achievement or contribution within the community for the Richmond Valley Council 2021 Australia Day Awards. There are six categories available for nomination: Citizen of the Year Young Citizen of the Year (24 years of age or under) Volunteer and Young Volunteer of the Year (24 years of age or under) Sportsperson and Young Sportsperson of the Year (17 years of age or under) Council has launched a new online nomination form to make it easier for the public to celebrate a local legend. The Casino RSL Sub-branch held this year's service at the Drill Hall precinct, with a small flag-raising ceremony taking place at the Mafeking Lamp at 11am. 18.01.2022 Our youth programs see a LOT of kids come through whether at the sports stadium, pool parties, or movie nights. We are always looking for more volunteers. We ha...ve so many great youth in this town and they all come to the sports stadium. On Friday nights we have had the PCYC and police cooking a BBQ, Mid Richmond Neighbourhood Centre bringing their info van and volunteers pitching in. But sometimes we are low on supervisors and have to turn kids away as the ratio doesn't meet standards Volunteers are welcome anytime! Whether it's coaching and refereeing or simply just being there for these kids who appreciate respect and give it back in return. Bigger things are about to come. Contact us here to find out more
