20.01.2022 Robert* is a kind-hearted, resilient boy who has had a difficult start to his life. After losing both parents he has been staying with family which unfortunately he is no longer able to do. Robert likes being outdoors, everything to do with animals, cooking and reading Dr Seuss books. He dislikes loud voices, the dark and feeling shame. He is a ball of energy who loves building friendships, enjoys school and spending time with his older siblings.... The perfect carer for Robert would be someone who understands grief and loss and can sit with a child through those moments. You might be single or a couple, with no young children so you can give Robert the time and attention he so richly needs and deserves. You would love the outdoors and might be employed part or full time but with flexibility to support Robert’s weekly counselling sessions. As both parents are passed, CASPA would be looking to secure a permanent foster carer, possibly through guardianship or adoption in the future. Roberts’s Foster Carers will be supported with a carer allowance, Intensive caseworker support to ensure placement success and the additional specialist support services we offer all carers: Skills training 24/7 support Respite care A committed case worker, education support worker, mentor, foster care support team and more. If you can provide Robert with a stable and loving home, please contact us urgently today. CASPA can arrange for training and assessment to occur immediately. Please click on the link to have one of our team members contact you to discuss further or contact us on 1300 22 77 22 or email [email protected] *Name changed and stock photo image used.

A special thank you to the Play and Pray Time group at Arise Church Lismore your generosity was overwhelming.... At CASPA we work closely with disadvantaged children and families. Generous donations of quality clothing and household goods are always welcome and graciously received by our staff. Contact us today to find out how you can support a local family in need. 15.01.2022 Cooper* is a 12-year-old boy whose favourite things are playing on his iPad, riding his bike, playing soccer, and board games. He is an independent, happy and helpful young man who enjoys engaging with peers and adults in his life and is excited to begin high school this year. Cooper needs a carer who is flexible, patient and has a sense of humour. The ideal person will role model stability and consistency in their personal life and be willing to support Cooper to build a sen...se of identity. Cooper attends school full-time so carers who work would not be a concern as long as there was some room for flexibility. Either a single person or couple, but preferably a home with no other children is where Cooper would thrive. Cooper has a mild disability which is well managed. Cooper has a mentor he meets with monthly and engages well with and has ongoing monthly respite care. Cooper’s Foster Carer will be supported with a carer allowance and additional specialist support services we offer all carers: Skills training 24/7 support Respite care (monthly) A committed case worker, education support worker, foster care support team and more. If you can provide Cooper with a stable and loving home, please contact us urgently today. CASPA can arrange for training and assessment to occur immediately. Please click on the link to have one of our team members contact you to discuss further or contact us on 1300 22 77 22 or email [email protected] *Name changed and stock photo image used

03.01.2022 The most important piece of work that needs to be driven by all stakeholders in the sector is the importance of finding family. Ms Rodwell said Reducing the rising rates of ATSI children in OOHC can be done if we continue to be innovative in our approach, utilise the strength that exists within families and communities and seek to be preventative rather than reactive.

01.01.2022 This Christmas, we are asking the community to help us bring joy to almost 60 children that will celebrate Christmas in our Residential Care programs across the Mid North Coast and North Coast of NSW. Christmas is always a difficult time for children in care, receiving gifts from the wider community helps them to feel connected to and seen by the community they live in. By donating either a gift or money (and we will buy the gift on your behalf) you will brighten the Christm...as of a child in care. Donations can be made via our website www.caspa.asn.au/christmasgiftappeal or at our office locations in Lismore, Coffs Harbour & Casino. Alternatively get together with your social or work group and organise a gift drive and we can arrange collection. The children and young people range from 7 - 22 years of age. If you would like to purchase a gift for a specific child, please comment below and we can share with you their interests. Thank you for your support and Merry Christmas
