23.01.2022 To all of the wonderful families I have had the honour of conducting their loved ones funeral for this year and to the families who I know are going through their first, second and all Christmas' since the passing of their loved one. It is actually ok, to not feel ok at Christmas. You can still enjoy the day, eat all the delicious food, have wonderful conversations with family. But you're allowed to feel something is missing. Feel sadness that they aren't there. And that's ok.... I hope, however you're celebrating Christmas, that you're finding time to remember your loved ones who aren't here too. 'Grief is a great measure and indicator of love - it simply cannot and does not exist except where there has been love.' Cass

20.01.2022 I have heard of so much loss lately, especially of beautiful young adults who have tragically been taken too soon. My heart breaks for all those families who have had to say goodbye to a loved one recently. Know you're never alone, and it's ok to ask for help.

15.01.2022 Welcome to my new page. I created this as I have taken a step back from Marriages to focus on Funerals. I feel the purpose of my role is a wholistic one which includes supporting families of the Goldfields in what is such an emotional and mentally taxing time. I aim to reduce the anxiety and stress that' comes with making decisions surrounding the service of their loved one. I will gently guide the family to create a meaningful and personal service that captures the essence o...f their life. I have just taken on a full time job, but have spoken with Frank from Goldfields Funeral Directors and have told him I am available Saturday mornings to conduct the services of your loved ones. If you would like to know more, please don't hesitate to contact me via this page or on my mobile - 0402 641 682 Cass

11.01.2022 G R I E F It never goes away, it might dull while you try and take on life without your loved one, but it's always there. A smell, a song, a place or even the taste of something can instantly bring back that sadness. You can't stop it from coming, nor can you ignore it.... Surround yourself with people who will continue to support you beyond those first couple of weeks, as that's when you'll need the most care.

05.01.2022 The 8th of August was DYING TO KNOW YOU DAY. You might be wondering what sort of day that is? 'Too many of us are dying in a way not consistent with our values or wishes. ... Too often, we feel ill-equipped to support loved ones who are dying, caring or grieving. Dying to Know Day is designed to change this by activating conversations and curiosity. By encouraging death literacy and providing a space to talk about end of life plans. The day can help people, families and communities to do death better.' https://www.dyingtoknowday.org While this year's days has gone, I have always talked about the importance of talking about death, in particular the dialogue for children. It is my mission to spark the conversation and support peoples choice to have end of life plans. Below is a wonderful resource to help begin the conversation for families and loved ones if you're preparing to say goodbye and want to be part of the process and celebration. Watch out 2020, Kalgoorlie will have one of these important days

05.01.2022 People move forward, but it doesn't mean they move on. Such a powerful way to look at grief.
