25.01.2022 Cassaform is thrilled to be working with Kane Constructions Pty Ltd to assist with the construction of the St. John of God Hospital Geelong CSSD Expansion. The new expansion involves two additional levels and a plant room being added to the current building. This required the existing structure be back propped strategically to accommodate construction loads which would have otherwise exceeded the design capacity of the as-built structure. 17.01.2022 Cassaform were engaged to design and supply a bespoke formwork system for Southbank Tower - Australia 108, the Southern Hemisphere’s highest residence building that is now nearing practical completion. Soaring 319 metres high, our in-house engineers designed a one-sided formwork system using our P300 Modular Wall System that would allow a 2.2m pour height, forming what would be the raft foundation for Australia 108.... Cassaform liaised with the client, pre-assembled bracing components to improve construction speed and offered technical support and engineering certification, with the system being installed in 3-4 days. 16.01.2022 Cassaform congratulates the Multiplex Construction and Central Equity teams for reaching the milestone of topping out the 58-level Melbourne Grand tower in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Cassaform supplied ~1600m2 of our Aluminium Pan ‘Slabform’ System to the project to cast and cycle throughout all suspended levels of the tower. Working with Caelli Constructions Vic Pty Ltd, a bespoke engineering plan was provided by from our in-house engineering team to optimise the volume o...f formwork, with support throughout the project to satisfy both the contractor and the builder where required. This included early 3-4-day stripping, sign off and advice, back propping guidance, stability recommendations, as well as details & directions on heavy stacked materials. Our Aluminium Pan ‘Slabform’ System helped accelerate forming time with reduced labour resources, while providing early striking to help deliver fast deployment to the next level. Assembled from below, all elements of the system weigh less than 20kg and can be manually handled via Alimak quickly and easily. 13.01.2022 Cassaform was engaged to design and supply a formwork system capable of forming 8m high Buddhist temple walls for the Cambodian Buddhist Association of Victoria. The system comprised of a double-sided modular shutter arrangement with works being completed with the assistance of a mobile crane and Elevated Work Platforms (EWP’s) from ground slab level. The construction of the structure involved forming an 8m high concrete in-situ wall using our market-leading P300 Modular Form...work System. This was be completed in two 4m high pours where the internal shutters were assembled to the full 8m height whereas the external shutter was installed initially to 4m and then recycled up using our wall climbing brackets to significantly reduce construction time and onsite labour resources. The P300 Modular Formwork System is suitable for casting in-situ walls or any vertical structure on site. The P300 Formwork panels are simple, strong, and sturdy, with the versatile system being able to be used on all sized projects to build shear walls, retaining walls, shafts, columns, abutments, and piers. 10.01.2022 Cassaform were engaged to provide engineering design, certification and supply of a modular formwork system to form the realigned section of the Caulfield to Dandenong railway to facilitate the existing level crossing removal. The innovative Caulfield to Dandenong Level Crossing Removal Project elevated the Cranbourne-Pakenham line, with the removal of nine level crossings helping reduce road congestions and travel time significantly on some of the most congested roads in V...ictoria. The Cassaform P300 Modular Formwork System used had to be fast, lightweight and cost-effective forming 200m sections of a 10,000m segment. Given the speed, z-ties were omitted with bespoke engineering solutions which also provided certainty that works would be within tolerances and to the safety required by both our client and the principal contractor. 04.01.2022 Work is underway at our new project in Tarneit. Cassaform was engaged to supply and design a modular formwork system to form two large culvert retaining reinforced concrete structures. The structures were up to 90m long and 4m high consisting of acute and obtuse wall angles. Given the magnitude of the project, our in-house engineer team worked closely with the contractor to better understand the optimum construction sequence and therefore schedule and supply minimal equipmen...t to satisfy the contractor's methods. Pty Ltd will build a state-of-the-art community performing arts centre due for completion in 2021. The new precinct will include the following: - A 750-seat theatre within a new performing arts centre; - Multipurpose/meeting rooms;... - An indoor/outdoor café; and - Two open-air event spaces, one of which is an amphitheatre Cassaform were engaged to design and supply a formwork system that would be capable and suitable to form the suspended level given the imposed loading and site requirements.
