20.01.2022 Play and Learn doesn’t have to be expensive. You don’t have to have all the latest equipment and well marketed toys! Look at these fantastic construction buildings that our children have created with recycled materials. There are roads, tunnels, bridges, and even volcanos. It is good to see so many children participating in these activities, cooperating as a team, include the shy children . #cassgumnut # teamwork corporation #creativity

19.01.2022 Participation is important for children because it gives them an opportunity to have a say about issues and decisions that affect them, learn new skills, have fun and develop a closer connection to their community. Today we celebrated Melbourne Cup with our children by talking to them about the event, and made horse arts and crafts with them. They also played pretend horse racing and learned how to gallop like horses.

18.01.2022 Reading and storytelling with your child is a simple and fun way to help their development in many ways. Reading and sharing stories can: Help your child get to know sounds, words and language, and develop early literacy skills Spark your child’s imagination and stimulate curiosity... Help your child’s brain, social skills and communication skills develop Help your child understand change and new events, and also the strong emotions that can go along with them. 11.01.2022 Stress balls are effective self-regulatory tools that help children to focus more, be attentive, listen, and be calm. Our children are introduced to use the squeeze ball as one of the ways to relieve their negative emotions. They are also encouraged to use their words to express their feelings. #cassgumnut #Ways of expressing emotions

09.01.2022 We extended our children’s interests through nature experiments and today, learned about the Life Cycle of a Frog. We created a pond where frogs live with logs, lily pads, sticks, pebbles and muddy water. The most interesting part was when they had the chance to participate in our hands-on activity, where they could touch the slimy eggs we made from Chia seeds.

01.01.2022 Dramatic play allows children to perform different roles and test their own creativity and the reactions and responses of those around them. Children learn many things through trial and error, and what better and safer way to try out various scenarios and situations than through pretending you are in them! Today our children played shopping at outdoor play time, they had great fun pretending to do shopping like their mums and dads. They learned some names of the fruits and vegetables, some dairy products and everyday essentials. #cassgumnut

01.01.2022 One on one interaction is not only for very young children during routine time. It is a key role for an educator to support and guide each individual child to make the child feel well supported and secured. Providing two communication gives a child an opportunity to ask questions, to have discussions and to share thoughts and ideas etc. #cassgumnut #one on one interaction
