Were all facing things that make us uncertain and anxious - recent changes in restrictions here in Victoria have us feeling confused, alone and outright stressed. But keeping our sights on our why is always so important, in everything we do. So, whilst many of us are feeling quite flower-less at the moment lets allow the rain to do what its supposed to do & look forward to seeing our loved ones again when this is all over. 19.01.2022 A change of pace. More time to reflect. Simplify. Slow down. Social isolation, social distancing + doing our part by staying home gives us more free time, a chance to slow down. ... And yet somehow we find ourselves feeling more frantic now than before... lifes anxieties can weigh us down and we start to feel a little helpless. Its easy to take more on board at work to make up for recent changes. We are often tempted to add more chores and projects to our plate in an attempt to feel more accomplished and organised. Dont ever feel guilty for wanting to take a day off, stay in your pyjamas + relax. REALLY relax. No phone, no running your to-do list through your mind. Just live in the moment and let yourself rejuvenate.

15.01.2022 I had zero sales! Thats right. I had a week earlier this month that didnt see a single order come through. ... I felt like a failure. Was there something wrong with my products? I found myself overthinking every little aspect of my store in an attempt to fix the problem. But I stopped. Stepped back a little. And reminded myself that whilst my store might be quiet this doesnt make me a failure. I have had so many successes this year, whats one quiet week? Im surrounded by an amazing community of other creators, artisans and fellow natural product enthusiasts I get to do what I love each and every day I had a little more time that week to focus on my family and do a little spring cleaning and self care When you keep on moving forward and dont let the little things get you down it sorts itself out - Ive had an incredible last couple of weeks and definitely wont be focusing on the little bumps Ive encountered along the way! 14.01.2022 Im an over-thinker. Theres constantly a million to-do lists, reminders, brainstorming sessions, inspired thoughts and motivational tugs running through my head. Sometimes these constant thoughts can get overwhelming and I can find myself feeling like I should be doing 47 different tasks all at once.... When your mind is always running it can be difficult to shut off and allow yourself the time to focus on the more important things in life like your family and your health. So I thought Id share a couple of tips for all my fellow over-thinkers out there that have helped me to compartmentalise my thoughts! 1 Keep a journal. It can be a dated agenda, planner, calendar, notebook or simply the notes section of your phone. Having somewhere you can write out tasks in order of due date/priority can help you keep your priorities in order. 2 Brain dump. Having a notebook or page where you can just write out utter dribble can be so handy in helping you get all your many thoughts out of your head and onto paper. This helps SO much with clarity as sometimes simply putting things into words helps the task seem less overwhelming. 3 Remember that you arent perfect. You are just one person. You are human. Not everything needs to be perfectly polished and done all the time. Tasks are allowed to go unfinished. Give yourself a break. See more

10.01.2022 Tired of long ingredients lists that you dont understand? Maybe youre mind-blown that most candles in todays market are still filled with toxic chemicals and synthetic substances? Or maybe youre still unsure of what the difference is between natural and synthetic fragrances? ... Trust me, I feel ya - (Ive been there too!) - youre certainly not alone! Today we have access to more resources, ingredients and products than we ever have before. At the tap of a phone screen you can access millions of different stores all across the globe - and a lot of them all seem pretty much the same... Or are they? Fragrance Oils are made up of synthetic chemicals - these fragrances are born and raised in a lab and can contain as many as 3500 different materials, many of which are toxic! Essentials Oils are extracted directly from plants. This process usually includes distilling, which extracts the essence from the plant matter. A Pure Essential Oil does not contain additional substances, additives or chemicals - it is simply a plant extract. I myself suffer from migraines when exposed to a lot of the synthetic fragrances found in scented candles so it was so important to me that I develop a completely natural, toxin free candle range! 06.01.2022 Swipe For 5 EASY ways to make your candles last LONGER! 1 Place your candle on a flat surface away from any draughts - this means avoiding any open windows or an air conditioner thats running. This will help prevent rapid, uneven burning, and can avoid flare-ups and sooting. ... 2 Trim your wick! Easily the most overlooked step, ensuring you trim your wick to 5mm prior to the initial burn will ensure your candle burns evenly and will prevent your wick from mushrooming. Prior to each burn thereafter, you may need to trim your wick again to maintain that ideal 5mm length! (GAME CHANGER, trust me!) 3 On your first burn, it is very important that you allow your candle to burn until the wax has melted all the way to the edge of the vessel. For most candles this will take 1-4 hours. If you only light your candle for 30 minutes then blow it out before its melted right to the edges, your candle will create a memory pool and continue to only burn as far as it did the first time it was lit. 4 Keep the lid on your candle when it isnt in use. I know that a fresh, unlit candle looks beautiful sitting on the coffee table - but left for extended periods, it will collect dust which not only makes it yucky and ugly, but also can interfere with the burning process. 5 When youve got 5mm or so left of wax at the bottom of the candle, its probably time to say goodbye! You wouldnt want to risk damaging your surface or jar by burning it for too long. Check back in next week as Ill be sharing a how-to on cleaning and reusing youre jars! I hope these tips have helped! 05.01.2022 DESIGNED TO BE REUSED We source high quality amber glass jars and plastic-free aluminium lids for our candles right here in Australia. Once your candle is finished you can simply clean out your jar and either return it for a discounted refill or reuse it around the home! ... There are a few different ways to do this... but Ill share my two favourite methods with you below. 1 A lot of the time simply placing the jar in the freezer and allowing the remaining wax to shrink slightly will be enough to allow you to pop the remaining wax out gently with a butter knife. Wipe out any excess wax with a paper towel and your jar is ready to be reused. 2 If method 1 doesnt work, simply take your jar and pour hot-but-not-quite-boiling water inside. As our pure soy wax has a low melting point, the temperature of the water should be warm enough to melt the wax slightly and it should float to the top and resolidify. Wipe any residue with a paper towel and youre good to go! Let me know your unanswered candle questions below! See more

04.01.2022 This is a prime example why it’s better to pay more for a higher quality product. Most cheap candles found in large retail stores contain some parrafin wax - some are made of it completely - which is derived from petroleum and can emit petrol-like smells. Natural plant-based waxes like our pure soy wax have a lower melting point, burn slower and don’t emit toxic fumes!

Every single day we are exposed to an endless list of airbrushed, styled photos taken in ideal lighting that has been designed to draw in our attention. People create content that grabs attention. Content that provides an escape from our regular boring routines. No one wants to see the messy, relatable side of our lives - right? So we share the good parts. And were all a little guilty But real life isnt always a freshly lit, brand new candle sat beautifully on the mantle. Its spilled wax on the hardwood floor.
