24.01.2022 Cassilis recreation reserve 1895. And contrary to a few wags, I am not in the picture.

23.01.2022 We have had some great improvements made to the Cassilis Recreation Reserve recently with a deer proof fence being installed around the boundary. This will allow us to remove the large tree guards which have been protecting the trees. some of which are growing too large to be contained. This will also mean we can control the weeds below the trees more easily. The fence has been installed by local fencer, Tom Gill and financed by DEWLP, which has been fantastic! ... The Rec Reserve is a great resource for both community and visitors and we have plans for further improvements to the facilities.

22.01.2022 A big THANKYOU to Howard and Chris Reddish for hand watering the trees in our Arboretum. It takes an effort to fill the water tank on their trailer, drive it up to the Rec Reserve and hand water all the trees individually. This is dedication!! Thanks Howard and Chris for the many hours of volunteer time you give to make our Rec Reserve such a great place for our community. We hope for rain soon!!!

13.01.2022 Thanks to Swifts Creeks DELWAP and Staff member Brendan Purcell putting in a Wheelchair Ramp at the Cassilis Recreation Reserve's Toilet today. Will be completed in a day or two. You might notice the big smile on Brendan's face !?

07.01.2022 Welcome to our Cassilis Recreation Reserve Facebook Page. We hope to continue to make improvements to the facilities and make this a great place for our local community and visitors to enjoy. Recent improvements have been an extension to the BBQ shelter to provide a larger undercover area and also additional trees have been planted in our Arboretum.

04.01.2022 Some great work being done by our volunteers, Howard and Chris Reddish.

01.01.2022 A mob of young emus have been living in our valley over the past few weeks. They have been enjoying grazing on the grasses on our Recreation Reserve and surrounding paddocks.
