24.01.2022 Name Changer/ Game Changer I recently decided to make the move from being my blog name of Elements at Home to being me, Kristie Castagna. I am proud of what my blog and I have achieved and experienced over the years, including promotions with @lgaustralia @targetaus #SuperAmart @ikea_australia @westelmaus @jameshardieau and @duluxaus just to name drop a few.... I have come to realise the more interior work I do the less love my blog gets and social media doesn’t have the priority it once did. I still love being a voice and delving deep into product knowledge and bringing our industry together to continue to learn and grow from each other and I still love helping my clients achieve their interior design dreams but it’s more about being present, now more than ever. I will still keep the blog alive while I transition over to Castagna Interiors but want to say a big Thankyou to everyone who has followed along during its time and now welcome you to my new name and handle. 22.01.2022 I am on leave until the 11th January and enjoying a rest before we start our own building journey as well as a return to work at @danielcassettaidesign and @kantili_tiles and looking after my own @castagnainteriors clients. I can’t wait to share with you what we have planned but would also like to wish everyone a happy 2021. You can follow our build over at @fairfield_lane as we tackle a small laneway build. Out of the 14 homes Pete and I have had as projects over the years... this is a new experience for us. We have had the design created by @danielcassettaidesign and the build is with @stevecalautti who we used in the previous home so we know what we are in for I will be in touch very soon with my builders, colleagues and trades aswell as my clients but for now I hope 2021 has started off a little more peacefully for you all. We are in Ledge Point and arrived to no power or wifi and no mobile battery and the threat of bushfires lasting 2 days but the incredible people @dfes_wa have kept us safe and in the loop. This pic was taken today at #backbeachlancelin I was lucky enough to learn to surf here when I was 14 with a bunch of friends. We lost one of those friends up here and this was both a happy a sad moment thinking of him during this time as I hadn’t been back since. I was happy to teach my daughter how to read the waves and show my son how to look for waves worth body surfing. I am so grateful for slowing down and enjoying my family. 20.01.2022 Gwelup Family Home Renovation: With @jessosheadesigns and @castagnainteriors We are so proud of this collaboration and how all the trades came together to create this beautiful, functional and family friendly space. ... Our clients were so amazing, providing the perfect brief and trust, both in us as the design team and in the process. We obviously had nothing but the best for them in mind. The updates included a skylight that reaches up and brings the sun and moon direct into their home which they love and has become a space that the entire family enjoy. We had to move an air conditioning unit to create this space but (although not in the plan) it was a successful decision and has brought so much joy to the family. We helped our clients choose their floors, paint colours, cabinetry, benchtops, appliances, layout, tiles and handles and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. 09.01.2022 Back in the Stylist chair today assisting @alanablowfield_photographer for the beautiful @kantili_tiles showroom. What a joy to work with her and how lucky I am to use such incredible locally made homewares and furniture in a WA owned tile supplier. Nothing like locals supporting locals.
