17.01.2022 In response to our increased workload, Castech has recently invested in a new, quality shot blasting unit. The twin-thrower rotating table shot blast machine increases our output of quality castings and allows for greater flexibility in final processing. The process is fast and efficient as small steel balls (shots) are accelerated through the rotating wheel system onto the casting for a clean finish free of sand or heat treatment scale.

17.01.2022 Enjoy this throwback to celebrate 30 years of Castech in Wingfield. The company began life as Cu-Base in 1947 in the Adelaide suburb of Woodville, operating in what was lovingly referred to as the old red shed. It took little time for the foundry to establish a reputation as a supplier of quality castings at a competitive price, a prestige that still persists to this day.... 05.01.2022 Check out our semi-automatic band-saw in action! It allows for constant and continuous production with absolute cutting precision. The cutting tolerance is a tenth of a millimetre, ensuring the best finish for our castings. A special jig and cutting programme is made for each individual casting ensuring that the cut is made in precisely the same spot each time, and with hands-free operation and door-locks the machine operator is completely safe. The automatic band-saw takes all the hard work out, avoiding any loss of production due to fatigue of the operator.

02.01.2022 We recently shipped this 320 Kg Steel Casing casting to a customer, a very challenging job!
