24.01.2022 We are open for CAMPING! With easing of Covid restrictions, camping for groups of up to TEN people is allowed from 17 September 2020. 23.01.2022 Results of the 10th comp held Sunday 19 January 2020 saw14 seniors and 2 juniors fishing and weighing 36 fish for total weight of 18.289 kg plus more catch -and-release fish recorded by anglers. Winners were Brian Murrell in snr and Sully Gibbs in jnr's both winning heaviest fish & bag. Brian with 914g e/perch and bag of five fish 3.769 kg, whilst Sully had 622g bream and bag of five 2.207 kg.

22.01.2022 500 rainbow Trout were released into Ess Lagoon on Tuesday 08 September 2020.



21.01.2022 Regrettably due to even tighter restrictions announced by the PM tonight, we have decided to cancel this weekend's fishing competition. All Angling Society events have been postponed until further notice.

14.01.2022 Annual General Meeting High all members. Due to continued Covid restrictions, the executive have decided that we will have to hold our AGM at a public venue this year to allow for legal number of member to attend. The date is 01 November 2020 at Casterton Island Park kitchenette commencing at 1 pm followed by presentation of trophies for past season. No catering will be provided. Aenda will be provided prior to meeting.

09.01.2022 Due to coravirus and under Government rulings, the Casterton Angling Society camping grounds at 10 Warrock Road are now closed to all campers.

07.01.2022 With lifting of restrictions on going fishing and gatherings of up to 20 people, it has been decided to run the last two of our programed competitions on Sunday 14th and 28th of June, provided there is enough interest from members. Then hopefully by July, if restrictions are eased further, we can have our wind-up and trophy presentation. Please indicate your willingness to participate.

06.01.2022 Results of the 13th comp held Sunday 01 March 2020. 11 members fished and weighed 14 fish for total weight of 9.434 kg, plus 3 catch-and-release fish recorded. Brian Murrell again took out both trophies on offer with heaviest fish being a 47cm estuary perch weighing 1.363 kg and heaviest bag of five fish with 2 bream, 1 estuary perch and a redfin weighing 4.019 kg.
