24.01.2022 Another morning of junior croquet in Casterton. An exciting singles competion with everyone competing for the @Foodworks Casterton vouchers. Jake Hausler, Will Hausler, James Mason and James Wombwell all in the winners circle today. With one voucher left the losers all had a shot at the middle peg for a chance to win the last voucher. Well done Tamsyn. Bad luck young Owen....you were so close!

23.01.2022 Today in rather blustery conditions the final of our Ruby Foster cup was played, between Ellie Norris and Sandra White. Congratulations to Sandra winning the cup, and to Ellie being runner up. We enjoyed the company of six of our junior players this year and boy did they give our senior players a testing time. Well done to all competitors and spectators for making this weekend so much fun.

20.01.2022 We had a Foodworks voucher for the winner on Saturday morning and our juniors were playing to win. Two groups played some tough croquet and whoever was to win was going to have to work hard. Eventual winner was James Wombwell with James Mason runner up . Amelia Bailey received a voucher for the most improved player.

18.01.2022 We can't resist showing young Owen lining up. This young man has talent!

09.01.2022 A bit of a challenge happening here

06.01.2022 Last Saturday was the start of a big week for the Casterton Croquet Club. The Ruby Foster Golf Croquet Club Championship is in its third year........and this year is creating history. For the first time six of our junior players will be competing in the event along with ten senior members of the club. Our club has only one court but the competition will be played over two days on the full size court. Last Saturday some of the younger players competed in their own mini... version of the competition. Abby Black was the winner in great style and this win earned her a "wild card" entry into the competition this weekend. Abby has accepted the offer and is drawn to play in the first game of the competition. A game to look forward to. The competition commences at 10.30am on Saturday. Covid safe viewing is available for spectators from their cars....... Saturday's competition finishes at around 4pm and Sunday again starts at 10.30am. @Casterton Pharmacy have sponsored this event since its inception. This sponsorship is greatly appreciated. The Championship game starts at 2pm with a presentation at 3pm. Our local Councillor, Karen Stephens has agreed to make the presentation. All set for a wonderful weekend of croquet........

01.01.2022 No rain and no wind ensured a good day for croquet Last Saturday. Eighteen members of the club keen to pick up their mallets for some competive croquet. First on the courts were our junior players. Exhilerated after their first Ruby Foster Singles competition when they competed with the senior members of the club. @Foodworks Casterton, who are our junior sponsors, generously donated vouchers for the morning's play. Jake Hausler, James Mason, Katie Richardson, Abby Black an...d James Wombwell were all in the winner's circle. Well done everyone. Later in the day Jan Dancey won her first game with ease as did Joy Harvey and James Wombwell who made Ellie Norris work very hard....to no avail. Well done Joy and James. Losing her first game to Yvonne Alexander by a point did not sit well with Sandra White who won the title of Club champion a week ago. Sandra redeemed herself her second game for a solid win with partner Joy Harvey. Great croquet everyone. See more

01.01.2022 Juniors enjoying the fine weather this morning.
