12.01.2022 Market Report from Hamilton’s sale Friday Agents yarded 156 head, With the yarding being majority cows. The usual buyers were present and operated strongly, with some good local re-stocker activity. There was a good offering of trade cattle with the best of the beef bred steers selling to a top of $4.73, Averaging $4.38 across the board to be 15-20 cents dearer on last weeks cattle market. The heifer run over 500 kg sold to a top of $3.40 per kilo to be down on last week, ...Lighter Heifers 350-500 kg sold to an average of $3.32 per kilo and topping to $3.50 per kilo to hold firm on last weeks sale. 63 cows were yarded this week, with the best of the beef bred cows topping to $3.30 per kilo, the cow yarding averaged $3.08 per kilo to be 5 cents dearer this week. 12 Bulls were yarded this week, that saw the best make $3.10 and average $3.06 to be fully firm on last weeks sale.
