22.01.2022 Good morning Portland well it is a beautiful day in Portland lets hope it stays that way. Well Kerri and I are having our first house party today at the Castle in Allestree starting at 3 pm with the Hookey Brothers playing from 3 pm till ?????????????????????. They are two of the most talented charismatic and entertaining musicians you will ever encounter with their vast repertoire of songs including pop rock blues originals and even the odd rap song by Jack Hookey The Castl...e will be open for business as usual from 10 am this morning for coffee and viewings of the Art Gallery and the Vern McCallum collection and the usual open mike session from midday till 3 pm when the Castle d'Art will be closing and the Castle will revert to being our home. Sorry for any inconvenience to any of our customers. So it is byo what ever you want to eat and drink I reckon a plate would be nice to share and the urn will be on for making of a cup of tea or coffee. The fire is already on and will be raging so pop in and get "HOOKED" hahhahahahhaha Bren Kez See more

18.01.2022 Great response today to the Real Men Wear Pink fundraiser. Here is Greg Burgoyne with a donation after a whip around the council office. I have also had a number of business houses around town donate stuff for the raffle at the Heywood Hotel tonight. Raised over $1000 so far and am hoping to crack the $1500 mark by tonight. I do apologise to anyone I did not get to today but time is my biggest enemy but don't despair I will still take donations over the weekend and come to your place with the Bullet if you like, just let me know. or you can donate direct at https://realmenwearpink.gofundraise.com.au/page/Castledart Don't forget we are having a Pink Sunday at the Castle this weekend whilst we are having the Open Mike session from 1 pm onwards
