16.01.2022 WELL DONE WA!! The Government announced this week that the States can begin to operate under Level 1 Restrictions. This enables us dental professionals to return to performing normal dental treatment. We will be continuing to practice under the highest levels of safety and infection control, including specific COVID-19 additional compliance which you will notice when you come to see us. It is really important to continue to maintain your regular check-ups with your dentist to... avoid major and sometimes costly dental treatment in the future. If you have had an appointment rescheduled due to COVID-19, please call 93095011 or book online to reschedule your appointment. In the meantime, keep up the good work and download the app https://apps.apple.com/au/app/covidsafe/id1509242894

Being sugar savvy is as simple as: Consuming no more than 6 teaspoons (24 grams) of free sugar per day as recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). Choose foods with less than 10 grams of sugar per 100 grams. Look out for hidden sugars when purchasing foods and drinks. Don't be like Dr. Mike... look after those teeth!!

01.01.2022 **HYGIENE MATTERS** Toothbrush Tips. Never share a toothbrush!! After using your toothbrush, rinse in warm water for 15 seconds, store upright (to air-dry), and avoid storing your toothbrush in a cabinet or drawer. (Dark, moist environments help produce bacteria.) Using Peroxide... Soak your toothbrush in hydrogen peroxide for roughly 3-5 minutes. Then rinse out thoroughly with hot water. Using Mouthwash Same as the peroxide tip above. Soak your toothbrush in mouthwash for roughly 3-5 minutes. Then rinse out thoroughly with hot water. Use Your Dishwasher This one is simple. Place your toothbrush in the silverware tray and run the dishwasher as normal. Boil It Place your toothbrush in boiling water for about 2-3 minutes. Boiling kills most germs. Using Vinegar and Baking Soda Mix 1/2 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of vinegar, and a 1/2 scoop of baking soda. Place your toothbrush in this for 30 minutes.
