21.01.2022 Netball Victoria echoes the Premier’s disappointment that a necessary step has had to be taken to lockdown 36 Melbourne suburbs to help curb a ‘second wave’ out...break of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the implications this will mean for so many members of our netball community, it is clear that this is a necessary step for the health and safety of not only the people residing in these suburbs, but the wider Victorian community. 20.01.2022 Congratulations to former CDNA and Junior Development Squad member Chloe Langley on her selection. Chloe will appear on local news tonight.

19.01.2022 RETURN TO COMPETITION FOR ADULTS +18 YEARS Late this afternoon we received an update regarding the return to contact training and competition for adults +18 years. Community sport across regional Victoria will remain non-contact until further notice. As you know, contact training was scheduled to return on 13 July for adults, and competition was set to return on 20 July. This can now not occur. The following statement is taken from the Minister for Sport’s media release.... However, with a significant increase in coronavirus cases in Melbourne, and active cases in a number of many regional communities, the Chief Health Officer has determined that community sport in regional Victoria must remain non-contact. This decision will be tough for many regional Victorian clubs and communities and it was not taken lightly but is essential to slow the spread of coronavirus and save lives. To read the media release click here www.premier.vic.gov.au/regional-community-sport-to-stay-no/ TRAINING AND COMPETITION FOR PEOPLE 18 YEARS AND YOUNGER It is clear that plans to resume full contact training and competition for players aged 18 years and under can continue in Regional Victoria. Full contact training for juniors and competition can continue. The Return to Community Netball guidelines for Associations and Clubs provides all of the necessary information. Non-contact training may continue for adults. They must maintain a 1.5 metre physical distance when training. **Please Note: All age groups in Metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire remain under stage 3 stay at home restrictions where all community netball activity is suspended. We will continue to work with Sport and Recreation Victoria and inform you of any decisions regarding the return to contact training and competition for adults. Thanks,
