25.01.2022 You saw his image in the news article a few days ago but he deserves his own write up: The last performer and co-festival director is: Mason West!... Mason West started his acrobatic training at the age of 7 with the Flying Fruit Fly Circus. He has over 25 years of professional work under his belt and has performed around the world in over 15 countries. From Broadway to Alice Springs, South Korea to Madrid, the street to the stage, the BBC to Good morning New Zealand, the Moscow Circus to the Chinese State Circus and 4 years with Australia’s very own Circus OZ. Mason has been there and done it. Since leaving Circus Oz in 2014, Mason has been a freelance circus performer, rigger and tent boss, creating his own work as well as working for independent companies and fringe festivals.

13.01.2022 With only 5 days until the Spring Cabaret, it's time to announce our next performer! I have had the honour of sharing the stage with her for the past 5 years, she is one of the most skilled and talented performers I know! 'Hazel Bock'... Since she can remember, Hazel Bock has always loved being on stage, thriving on making the audience smile and gasp. After graduating from NICA in 2003, she worked as a freelance artist, delighting audiences at countless festivals, celebrations and corporate events around Australia and across the globe. She performed with established circus companies including four years with the internationally acclaimed Circus Oz, multiple tours with Circus Quirkus and guest spots with Circus Monoxide and CIRCA. Most recently she has been performing with GOP on the German variety circuit. Hazel specialises in Juggling and Foot Juggling (lying on her back and manipulating objects with her feet). This is one girl with a set of very clever toes. Without the closer of the international borders, we wouldn't have this stellar performer with us, so we are very lucky to have her entertaining us in Castlemaine and online this Saturday at 7.30pm.
