24.01.2022 Today i (Jane dunstan) drove from Nowa Nowa to Mallacoota, a distance of 200 km. Almost all the forest had been burnt in december - January. But the epicormic growth was spectacular and beautiful and reassuring of the healing power inherent in the forest. Had lunch at Lucy's wonderful Chinese noodle restaurant. It is right next door to the Hub - the centre for the Victorian Bushfire Recovery. I attach a photo of the phone number on their door. You can ring that number and make further donations. Better still, take a drive there when you can.

08.01.2022 I stayed at the wonderfully eccentric Nowa Nowa caravan park before driving the two hours to Mallacoota. The Victorian Bushfire Recovery has an office there (see post yesterday). Unfortunately no CWA but I am investigating what our group can do to assist e.g. help with garden seeds for people re establishing their homes. Regional people can visit now. I even drove back straight through Melbourne. Police at Gisborne ring of steel very easy to deal with. But Melbunians have to wait of course. Jane dunstan
