25.01.2022 Ken will be well known to many at CGFC who have lined up opposite Kenny when we played our Senior football in the Ballarat League. A number also took to the pitch with him as a team mate for the gOld Spice and in last years GSKs. A complete gentleman on and off the field, he will be missed by all who have shared a love of the game with him one way or another. Our thoughts go out to his family and those at Forest Rangers and our own gOld Spice. RIP Kenny

24.01.2022 Although it’s a public holiday Small Sided is still on for week two. However there is a severe weather warning for our region, for the afternoon, so please make sure you are monitoring the weather - thanks Tony.

23.01.2022 Small Sided families, confirmation that the program will finally get underway starting next Friday (not tomorrow). We thank everyone for the extreme patience in sticking with us through the COVID cancellations of Terms 1, 2 and 3. We can’t wait to get out there with all of the wonderful U5, 6, 7, 8 and 9s. ... Any questions please get in touch with program coordinator Tony Cormack.

19.01.2022 A reminder to any players interested in the upcoming trials for Bendigo City FC.

18.01.2022 Dear Parents/Carers and Volunteers, it does look like temperatures will be up around 30-35 by this afternoon. I understand this will be a stretch for most kids, so appreciate some families may choose to stay home. Like with rain in the winter cancelling at the last minute is tricky so volunteers will be there for set up, and we will run a 30 minute session for those kids that do turn up (from 4:15 - 5:15 pm) so they can just have a kick, merging groups if numbers are low.... This way those still keen for a kick can enjoy a short kick in the afternoon sun and we can all get away slightly earlier. Please remember SunSmart policy in place so sun screen, sun hat and plenty of water in your bottles if you are coming for a kick. For parents/carers this just means please be advised that pick up time will be 5.15pm for those who attend thanks Tony - CGFC Small Sided & U10s Coordinator

17.01.2022 Just a quick shout out to our members and everyone who follows the club FB page. We've had quite a few people follow the page this year and we appreciate your support during what has been such a tricky time for all soccer clubs in our region and beyond. We very much look forward to getting back out on the pitch together for next season and hope everyone is able to enjoy some social kicks between now and the start of the 2021 season. Our Seniors and Youth players have been enj...oying Mixed Social kicks on Tuesdays and Thursday (7-8pm). Many of our juniors have been taking part in week night and weekend social kicks. Small Sided has been thriving on Friday afternoons for the whole of term 4 with a couple of weeks left to go. Outside of club football the Sunday Dads Soccer kick is back underway at Chewton on Sunday morning (8-10am) for older social players. If you or any of your friends are looking for opportunities to play please contact the club if you aren't sure what your options are. We'll be putting out the call for new players for the 2021 season early in the new year, and look forward to seeing all of our existing players next season too.

14.01.2022 With the easing once again of Junior sports restrictions in Regional Victoria, it's with great delight we will be able to host a Friday Night Small Sided Program in term 4. Final details will be shared next week, but it will be great to finally have our U5-U9s out for a kick. Thanks to all the volunteers who have been able to put their hands up.... If you had a place but won't be able to take it in Term 4 please let me know so we can open it up to someone who missed out. Note if you are taking part in Small Sided please don't complete the reimbursement form. Thanks Tony Cormack - Small Sided Co-ordinator and Club Secretary FV Return to Play conditions - https://www.footballvictoria.com.au/return-conditions

14.01.2022 For some of our juniors who are looking for an opportunity to get back out on the pitch with some friends or teammates BASL are offering a 7-a-aside comp over the last few weeks of the year. See details in their post. Sounds like a fun way to see out 2020.

09.01.2022 A soggy night didn’t dampen the spirits as we finally got our Small Sided program under way. Most of the registered kids braved the weather along with our awesome group leaders and volunteers. Thanks to all of our Small Sided families for sticking with us through all the postponements and welcome to the new families who have waited patiently to have their first kick. ... To our volunteers a huge thanks for helping this first session go very smoothly, under regular conditions Small Sided Fridays are always a big set up, but we hit the ground running tonight All the kids were buzzing, and that’s why we do this. Can’t wait for week two. Note even though next week is a public holiday we still go again so hopefully you get to round out the day off with a kick. #CGFCSmallSided2020

01.01.2022 Small Sided for Term 4 starting this Friday It's with much excitement that we can confirm Small Sided will finally get under way this week. But for Term 4 we will be able to get out there. Thanks to all our Small Sided families for their patience and to our volunteers. An email has gone out today to registered families. ...We have a very limited number of places due to COVID requirements, but there is a waiting list in place if you missed out and are interested.
