23.01.2022 First Night shoot 22rd starts at 7.00 pm

23.01.2022 Come and Try Day held yesterday, what a great day. Big thank you to our members that came along to make the day a well run event. Thank to the Mount Alexandra Shire again for your support, 35 shooters of all ages from the young to veteran, they came from Cranbourne and surrounding areas. The feedback from families and shooters was a great day for all.

16.01.2022 DOUBLE RISE CLARIFICATION via email from acta. Dear Club Secretaries, ... The Executive Committee have taken an electronic vote on the following issue and wish to have this information urgently circulated to all clubs: RE: DOUBLE RISE GRADING: All current ACTA Members holding a Trap Grade will shoot their first 100 pair (200 targets) in their current Trap Grade, then these targets shot will be used for allocating a shooters Double Rise Grade. Percentages are to be lowered to: AA: 88% and above A: 80.0% to under 88.0% B: 72.0% to under 80.0% C: under 72.0%. 16.01.2022 Saturday 13th Practice starting at 1.00pm all bookings with Teddy 0456022211 both traps working. We are still running under COVID-19 Guidelines and must conform to these. 15.01.2022 Perazzi classic Results of round one of the Perazzi Goldfields Ball Trap Classic Round held at Castlemaine on Saturday with 8 clubs in attendance shot in trying conditions and scores down on last year ... stand out shooters for the day were Castlemaine,s Rowan Lendon and Beauforts Shayne Ringin both with a score of 44/50 after a shoot off rowan was the overall winner the top three teams are Castlemaine 122/150 Kyneton 115/150 Beaufort 111/150 top 3 shooters on the day are Rowan Lendon 44/50 Shayne Ringin 44/50 Travis Hornsbrough 43/50 See you at the next round on the 24 May 2020 at ST Arnaud

15.01.2022 Great day shooting yesterday with the Colac boys and Paul Taylor down from QLD we had10 squads 48 Shooters well done to Tangles taking Highgun over the two shoots 99/100 well done to Slap winning overall in P/S and to all other winners and place getters thanks to Club for supplying spit roast after presentation

13.01.2022 Big day today picking up our new second hand shelters from Golden Square Lawn bowling club, thanks Alan and there guys lifting onto trailer with Tangles and myself. All on site 2 behind trap one, other two behind Ball trap and layout two, ready to be set up for March shoot.Stage 1 completed Stage 2 fix into position, will follow with photos

12.01.2022 Dear ACTA Clubs, Zones and Members Please be advised that, at this afternoons ACTA Executive Committee Meeting, a motion was unanimously passed to Cancel all ACTA National Events for 2020. This decision was made, primarily based on: the need to protect all members health and safety, (especially given the current escalating situation in Victoria and possibly beyond), Inability to predict the likely revisions to any State or Territory Health Department restrictions that... may next occur, the deadlines approaching to timeframes in which administrative tasks need to be performed in order to adequately deliver the events, and the cost implications of attempting to stage events that will be severely under-subscribed. We will provide a more detailed report in the August Clay Target e-News which will go out to our members next week. Kind regards, Paul

10.01.2022 URGENT UPDATE Unfortunately due to new outbreaks of the COVID-19 virus the committee has decided the Cancellation of our July program. We hope to have better news in August to all shooters stay safe and we will keep you up dated.

10.01.2022 Castlemaine Gun Club would like to inform its members and fellow shooters that our Wednesday Night Shoot 25th will be cancelled and practice on Monday nights for the month of March as well, sorry for any inconvenience to shooters,the Club feels in the present climate it is the best interest of members. Hoping April will be back to normal.

09.01.2022 Corona virus update As of the new restrictions placed by the government to non essential activities the club will be closed until further notice thanking all our members and shooters for there understanding. The club thought this would be the best decision with the current situation, stay safe and we keep you informed of any changes.

On behalf of the committee I would like to inform all members and shooters that due COVID outbreak in the area, our Monday practice sessions are being postponed for the next Two Weeks.
