The Australian government has the WOVR or written off vehicle register to ensure that badly crashed passenger cars never make it back onto the roa...d after being written off by insurers, well trucks with a GVM of 4.5t or more do not get listed on this register. Imagine buying a nice truck and then finding out later it was repaired, most times very poorly, by someone looking to make a quick dollar. I know this as we have had this happen to us twice, once we got our money back and the second time we were left with a massive bill to repair the truck. I spoke with Senator Buchotlz last year before the last election about this and he said some trial was underway, I have not heard from him since. I have no doubt that people have been killed in trucks that have been patched up like this. #WOVRTrucks This is my personal opinion and does not reflect any company I am associated with.

From 11.59pm tonight, any truck driver entering Western Australia will need to show evidence of having received a negative COVID-19 test result in the last 5 days. If they have not been tested in the last 5 days, they will be directed to undertake a COVID-19 test within 48 hours. They will also need to present for another COVID-19 test within 7 days of their first test if they are staying in WA. This regular testing adds another layer of protection from COVID-19, and their understanding and cooperation is so important. As Ive said many times, WA has led the nation in our response to COVID-19. And well continue to work hard to protect Western Australians.
