25.01.2022 Went for a cruise along the shore around the bay in search of marine debris and got approached by this inquisitive family of dolphins! We almost never get approached by dolphins in our boat and if we do we’re usually anchored or drifting and they pass by on the hunt for food. We had no idea that dolphins were so interested in the ski! Couldn’t keep them away! Anyone else find dolphins are attracted to their JetSki? ... Remember to keep your distance and not chase dolphins down. We are super grateful for experiences like this because we understand that at the end of the day it’s up to the animal to approach us, not the other way around #catchingparadise #marinedebrisski #jervisbay
24.01.2022 Blending in with this crystal clear and freezing cold environment. We heard from @azgall that flashing a smile releases endorphins which elevates our mood. Let’s hope it elevates our core body temp too ... #catchingparadise #jervisbay #southcoast #freediving #seebooderee #visitshoalhaven #sandfworld #girlsthatfreedive @ Jervis Bay Marine Park See more

23.01.2022 Face masks overboard! A quick snippet into the fun we had 2 weeks ago when we headed out during an east cost low to collect marine debris. We really enjoy putting an adventurous spin on our endeavours and love making fun little videos to accompany our clean ups. Check it out
22.01.2022 Take a bag with you! Keep a lookout for clear and grey plastic meat trays as well as clear takeaway containers and blue face masks. These items are washing into the bay in huge numbers as the lost shipping containers from the APL England cargo ship make their way closer to Jervis Bay. This week we’ve found hundreds of the items and urge you to walk the beaches with a bag to carry them back to recycle (plastic containers) or dispose of (face masks). If you find these items we’d love to see a photo Thank you in advance legends!
21.01.2022 When we got wind that lost shipping containers from the APL England cargo ship were heading towards Jervis Bay we did NOT think that we’d pull out this haul! The shipping containers, that have been adrift along the NSW coast since May, contained face masks, meat trays and takeaway food containers. With a solid swell and gnarly winds set in for the week, we set out on a 5 day marine debris marathon. And it was literally that... We hiked 40kms over the 5 days t...o our favourite South facing beaches around Jervis Bay and lugged out 115kgs of marine debris. It’s not too late to get out there to catch more as it washes ashore. We imagine the remnants from the lost shipping containers will be washing up for a very long time. Can you guess how many face masks and meat trays we collected in total? Send us a photo of you come across any of these items on your beach. @ Jervis Bay, NSW South Coast See more
21.01.2022 Last night we went on an Indigenous Twist Food Journey with Mirritya Mundya at their pop up cultural dining experience @mmundya Being serenaded by the healing sounds of Dwayne playing Yidaki while we ate food crafted with love and local and native ingredients was without a doubt, one of the most special experiences we’ve ever had. We wanted to thank Dwayne, Amelia and their family for hosting an incredible night that we’ll never forget. Thank you for sharing... culture with us and filling our bellies and hearts. We are so grateful and recommend that everyone book for the next pop up in September. This is the paper bark smoked snapped that we absolutely devoured and put any of our catch and cooks to shame! #jervisbay #visitshoalhaven #mustdo

18.01.2022 Reminiscing on that beautiful time after the fires, between covid and before floods. Anyone else..?
16.01.2022 A few weeks back during a storm we came across a big bloody rope which we pulled up high on the rocks before the waves could wash it back out Finally perfect conditions this weekend allowed us to pick it up in our boat Chaza. Super heavy and 30 metres long we lugged up with the help of our mate @mjwhale It was a fun mission before we enjoyed the rest of the day out on the water ... #mermen See more

08.01.2022 @jervisbaycleanupcrew After posting the haul from our marine debris marathon we had lots of interest from the community wanting more information about marine debris and questions about social clean up events. We’ve decided to create @jervisbaycleanupcrew on Instagram for ALL THINGS MARINE DEBRIS. On Facebook, we have created a private group to share info with locals who might want to get together to clean up, or conduct their own clean ups. ... Catching Paradise will continue to be the place where we post all the things we love that are a part of our lifestyle For more conversations about marine debris in Jervis Bay, join our crew on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/groups/jervisbaycleanupcrew/
08.01.2022 Seek the pink algae in the day and you shall find the magic by night! We believe the absolute best way to see bioluminescence in Jervis Bay is by boat. This weekend was by far, the most phenomenal bioluminescence experience we’ve had. Totally worth braving the cold and splashing around in the shallows. ... 05.01.2022 The bioluminescence algae has been so thick lately it’s made for tough spearing. Got lucky with a perfect size flatty that was chasing baitfish under the blanket of pink! 01.01.2022 We wanted to say thanks for the support we’ve received lately! It’s amazing how marine debris can bring people together and inspire others. It’s been a whirlwind of a month but we’re amped up and keen to create bigger change with a collective of like-minded, awesome people by our side @jervisbaycleanupcrew Tonight, the awesome Jess Clifford shared an article about our efforts on the ABC live newsfeed.
