25.01.2022 Good Ideas start with Brainstorming, Great Ideas start with Coffee. Without Coffee who knows where Catch Power would be today! When Catch Power was in the first design process almost 6 years ago, it started in Jason’s backyard. With little more than an idea and a whole lot of determination, Jason Juggled a solar installation company during the day and a start up of a night. ... There were many late nights/ early mornings spent in front of computers and circuit boards as Project H (hot water) came to life. There were many cups of coffees consumed in this process and as the first CATCH Power was sold in 2016. Four years on and we have now expanded to eight full time staff and an incredible 4,000 units installed across Australia and New Zealand averaging over 130 orders per month. Catch Power continues to grow in leaps and bounds as we prepare to release our new Solar Relay to the market mid-November. So its on this Day ‘International Coffee Day’ that we thank our baristas for the amazing job that they do in keeping the world caffeinated and motivated. Anything is possible when you have coffee. #Coffee #Internationalcoffeeday #gleninnes #gleninneshighlands #Startup #hotwater #Catchpower #productivity

21.01.2022 Good Morning everyone, we just wanted to let you know that the CATCH Power website will be down for scheduled maintenance on Friday the 22nd May. We apologise for any inconvenience, we will still be contactable via email and phone during this time.
21.01.2022 With more than 3,500 units installed across Australia we had our mathematicians play with the numbers to estimate the annual savings our CATCH Power customers are experiencing. Did you know the average household uses 6 kWh's per day to heat their hot water? generally charged anywhere from 16-22 cents depending on your state and electricity provider . ( we used a modest $0.16 for our calculations) #selfconsumption #dontloseit #useit #Origin #tango #westernpower #Horizonpower ...#atco #SAPowernetworks #Electranet #Australiangasnetworks #jemena #Brightenergy #Unitedenergy #citipower #Ausnet #Mulitnetgasnetwork #Tasnetworks #tasgas #enovaenergy #Essentialenergy #powermax #ergon #ergonenergy #ergonenergynetwork #energex #transgrid #eneavourenergy #PowerLink #solarpv #solarenergy #solarpowered #solarpanels #solarhotwater #electriccar #Tesla #hotwatertank #australianmade #australianowned #australianownedandmade #SolarHome #electrichome #feedins #energy See more
21.01.2022 Coming into winter we generally see a surge in our electricity prices as our heating costs increase due to longer, warmer showers. It is no surprise that hot water heating accounts for an average of 30% of our household electricity bills. With the installation of CATCH Power we can take care of this added cost and use your excess solar to heat your hot water 'free from the sun' To find out more head to our website www.catchpower.com.au
17.01.2022 On the first of July you may have noticed that your energy company lowered their feed in rates that they currently have on offer. While this may have you shopping around for a new retailer the solution lies with CATCH Power. Instead of feeding all your excess energy to the grid USE IT to heat your hot water. #selfconsumption #dontloseit #useit #Origin #tango #westernpower #Horizonpower #atco #SAPowernetworks #Electranet #Australiangasnetworks #jemena #Brightenergy #Unitede...nergy #citipower #Ausnet #Mulitnetgasnetwork #Tasnetworks #tasgas #enovaenergy #Essentialenergy #powermax #ergon #ergonenergy #ergonenergynetwork #energex #transgrid #eneavourenergy #PowerLink #solarpv #solarenergy #solarpowered #solarpanels #solarhotwater #electriccar #Tesla #hotwatertank #australianmade #australianowned #australianownedandmade #SolarHome #electrichome #feedins #energy See more
14.01.2022 "Feed-in tariffs are falling. Time-Of-Use tariffs are becoming more popular with networks and some are even mandating them for solar power system owners. If you want to maximise your self-consumption and save money with a ToU tariff, simple, well thought through devices like hot water diverters and the Catch Solar Relay are a great way to put your big, time-agnostic loads on autopilot." 13.01.2022 So you already have solar but want more from your system? Follow these easy tips to get more out of your system 1. Use your appliances during the day This might sound like an obvious tip, but many people don’t take full advantage of daylight hours. By putting your heavy usage appliances like the dishwasher, dryer and washing machine on during the day, you are using the power as it is being produced. Make the most of this time as it is free energy! Bonus Tip! When loading the... dishwasher of an evening, don’t turn it on until the next morning when the sun is shining. 2. Stagger your consumption Try staggering your usage throughout the day E.g. put the washing machine on at 11 then the dryer on at 12. This prevents you from drawing from the grid and adding to that pesky bill. 3. Get your panels cleaned Dirt, dust and bird droppings can get in the way of your savings. Anything that obstructs your solar panels will result in lower production of your system, which then reduces your savings on your electricity bill. 4. Shop around for a better rate As your solar reduces your consumption, you will still have charges on your electricity bill. These include a Daily supply charge, peak/shoulder charges for any consumption that sits outside of the solar curb and Off peak charges that are the result of heating your hot water. Remember that your energy plan only lasts 12 Months! So any discounts will disappear after this time. Make sure you know what you are paying and when your plan is up. 5. Add a CATCH There is always a catch right? Well not with Catch Power. Shift your largest loads to be under the solar curb and heat your hot water from your excess solar. Increase your self-consumption by up to 30% and save hundreds every year on heating costs. See more

10.01.2022 As feed in tariffs drop again, the message remains the same. Self consumption is key to a profitable solar system and what better way to increase your self consumption than with the installation of a CATCH Power unit. Send excess solar to your electric hot water system rather than straight back out to the grid and access free hot water from your solar
07.01.2022 What a CATCH! Take control of your solar energy with CATCH POWER. Contact the team at East Gippsland Solar today and ask about CATCH POWER.
04.01.2022 CATCH flexing the muscles of this solar system! What you see is a system pumping out 4.5kWp. What you don’t know is that the system is export limited to 3kW. CA...TCH maximises the potential of this system by sending the load to the hot water tank. Increased generation and increased savings. #RealSolarHotWater #GreenCATCH #NOLIMITS #solartothemax #freehotwater See more
