25.01.2022 ADOPTED Little Hank went to his new home today
24.01.2022 UPDATE 29/01/20 Charlie is not doing well this morning very lethargic we are all scratching our heads trying to figure out what is going on with him. Keep him in your thoughts he isn’t doing well at present. This poor boy was getting out of jail today to go to a rescue down south. But got a phone call from pound saying he wasn’t doing so well and was very lethargic. So the pound girls were nice and dropped him at our vet so we could get him the treatment required to get ...him better. He is just skin and bones and very lethargic. The vets ran blood tests on him and the great news is his organs are functioning well and his FIV test came back negative so it was a big sigh of relief as being a stray boy he had a higher chance of being FIV positive. He has bad ear infections which he is now on treatment for. Flea and worm treatment to help with the anaemia and last of all TLC and a good diet. Unfortunately his marbles can’t be removed yet until he is feeling a bit better to get through the operation. So I am introducing you to Charlie who was another of Bundy’s forgotten cats. He has cost us just over $300 in vet fees and he is worth it. If you wish to donate to Charlie’s vet bill you can donate onto our account at Sugarland Vet or transfer through to our account and reference Charlie. If you require a receipt just message us with your email address and we will send you one ANZ Cat Connections HQ Account No: 303021327 BSB: 014515

18.01.2022 Unfortunately we are having to stop taking Cats at this time, we have a feed bill of $800 a fortnight just to feed the kitties we have. Every Cat rescue is at capacity so we are unable to move any cats South like we usually do to try and free up some room. It has been a very hard decision but one we have had to make until we have some cats adopted. We are personally paying to feed these cats that are in care but would like to get the food bill down a bit so we can live comfortably as well not pay to pay. We are still trying to help pound cats as they have no choice they are on the chopping block when their pound time ends. Thankyou Ros

15.01.2022 ADOPTED Beautiful Ivy has officially been adopted after her adventure around Bargara have a happy life gorgeous girl
13.01.2022 Henry The beautiful Henry is our poster boy for why kitties should be kept inside. He ended up in the pound system when a concerned citizen caught him and took him to a vet. He had a amputated tail and what was left was degloved of all skin and hair. We took him on and with the help of our vet he was immediately taken to surgery to have is tail amputated, blood work done, desexed, microchipped and vaccinated. Henry’s FIV test came back positive. This result didn’t deter ...us as this isn’t a death sentence for poor Henry. It just means that he can’t be near stray cats again due to his low immune system. He has to be an inside cat ideally an only cat or with a non dominate cat. Henry is a lover and not a fighter so very unlikely to pass the FIV on to another kitty if it is an easy going cat. He does not like dogs and will show dogs who the boss is. If you are interested in Henry we will ensure you are educated on FIV so you can make an informed decision if he suitable for you. He has the most stunning personality he will follow you around all day wanting affection and a chat. Very gentle boy that just wants to be loved. Even though Henry has cost us some serious $ in vet bills his adoption fee will still be only $100 to the right home. Please PM us if you would like to talk about beautiful Henry See more

09.01.2022 Introducing Sage. A beautiful 2 year old Torti girl who was rescued from under a house. She was starving and had recently given birth but sadly due to her poor condition the kittens did not survive. She is friendly and seeks out attention and pats which she rewards you with very loud purrs. Very motivated by food and has a very healthy appetite. She is a bit of a nosy parker and loves to be in amongst your activities. She loves amusing herself with toys. If you are watchi...ng tv or having a quiet read she is content to lay up on the lounge beside you. She would prefer to be an only cat and would not suit young children. Sage is now ready to find a forever home where she will be loved, be safe and never have to return to her previous way of life. Please message the page if you would like to meet Sage and we will arrange it with her foster carer. With adult cats we do 2 week trials to make sure that all parties are going to be happy. 09.01.2022 Clementine Adoption fee $100 includes desexing microchip and one vaccination. This dilute torti girl is still a kitten at heart and just loves playing with toys. She came to us with her second litter of kittens who have all found their homes. Now it is her turn to find her forever home. She is a cheeky girl with a lot of personality not fussed with other cats but does tolerate them if she has too. Not sure what she is like with dogs. I think she would be good with children especially if they drag a toy around for her. She likes a pat but will cuddle on her terms. With adults cats we do have two week trials to make sure that they fit into their new environment. We also request that they are inside only kitties for their own safety.
08.01.2022 Sometimes due to sudden unforeseen circumstances a cat is returned to our care. Through no fault on her part Miss Loretta-Lyn is again looking for a new forever home. This gorgeous girl came to us as a kitten through the pound. Loretta is still only a youngster and on her own she is a smoochy cat, loves her food and loves to play. She especially loves to have her coat brushed. We have found though that she does not like to play with others so we recommend an only cat hom...e for her. She probably would not handle young children but older children would possibly be fine. If you are interested in giving this girl a second chance at a happy life please message the page and we will arrange a meet with her foster carer. With adult cats we do 2 week trials to make sure that all parties are going to be happy. Their adoption fee is $100 which includes desexing microchip and one vaccination. We request that all our cats be inside only kitties.
08.01.2022 The gorgeous little black panther Shelby has gone out for a trial adoption today. Shelby is the last of our little bottle fed babies from 2019 and we are so very pleased he has been given his chance of a furever home. Happy life little mate.
07.01.2022 Covid 19 has been tough on everyone and we are all looking forward to the day we can resume our normal lives. Fund raising has been a challenge for us this year and we are grateful for the support we have received from everyone in our raffles and our on line garage sale page. PCYC Markets are unlikely to resume this year at all so our final raffle with be a Monster Xmas Raffle with a massive 12 prizes. ... Starting soon we will be showcasing each individual prize one each week in the 12 week lead up to Xmas. We would like to thank each and every person and business who has donated these wonderful prizes to us so we can make this awesome event happen. Kitten season has begun and the need for our services increases rather than decreases. People say they would like to help but not sure how they can. Adopt a rescue cat/kitten but if you aren't in a position to adopt maybe foster instead. If you shop at the businesses that display one of our donation boxes on their counter, please throw in your loose change, it all adds up. ( Scully loves to help count the small change. It is her way of saying thank you for being rescued by CCHQ) Educate your family and friends to adopt from a rescue so we can stop the cycle of free kittens that become dumped when they are no longer cute little things or become pregnant. You can also support us by adding some extra items to your trolley when you shop. We have a donation bin at Coles in the Hinkler Shopping Centre where you can place donations of kitten/cat food or litter. Stay tuned for the reveal each week of the amazing prizes that will be on offer in the Monster Xmas Raffle.
05.01.2022 With Spring being the start of a new kitten season we are starting to get very busy with pregnant mumma cats having kittens through to calls to help rehome kittens. We had two new additions born over night from a very young mumma who found herself at the pound. The poor girl was emaciated and not feeling the best. Her two bubbas were born with fever coats which they get in utero if their mumma is not well. They come out with white coats which will change to their true colour when they shed their coat. Both kitties look like they are going to be possibly grey tabbies under their white coat. First and last litter for this beautiful little girl.
