Darwins newest amazing playground has recently opened with a 10m high climbing net and super slide like no other and is a perfect play space that has something for everyone: for the young ones to adults. For kids of all ages and abilities there is climbing equipment, swings, slides, flying fox, water play area, and sounds tubes. For the adults there is fitness equip...ment stations designed to motivate all levels of fitness abilities. Connected by a digital app, connecting you to local trainers in the area. The park is surrounded by shaded table and seating areas as well as shady trees to set up a picnic blanket under. The playground is not fenced, parking is off street and costs to park Monday-Friday 8am till 5pm $2.50per hr for up to 2hrs, but free weekends. There are public toilets nearby though are quite a distance from the playground for little legs. See more

Located at the entrance of the park is the 1st carpark where some large grassed hills make the perfect spot for a picnic or taking a ride on your cardboard box sleigh. From here you can follow the paths around the lagoon enjoying the bird life, and tranquillity the park offers, with many benches available to stop and rest along the w...ay. Pathways are quite large and a good distance back from the water’s edge, perfect for the little ones to bring down their bikes and scooters to ride on. At the main entrance you can follow the road to the left which will take you to another carpark located near the playground and picnic area. The playgrounds cater for all ages with slides, swings, climbing walls, balance ropes and soft-fall flooring. There is also an undercover picnic area with tables and BBQs. The playground is not fenced so care must be taken as you are still close to the lagoon. Following the entrance road to the right will take you down to the pet park area. This is 31,000sqm of parkland, fully fenced and a designated off leash area. Dogs are able to go down to the lagoon and play in the water (care must be taken as always in NT water areas). The pet park contains a fully equipped obstacle course, dog drinking well, BBQ facilities and a fenced off area for smaller dogs or dogs in training. You can leave the pet park area with gates on either side of the pathway available to walk around the lagoon, however dogs need to be placed back on a leash before doing so. See more
