07.01.2022 Some more breaking news from the NDIS this afternoon ... The NDIA have released some more information today about the introduction of compulsory NDIS assessment...s. This afternoon they released more information about the first trial of the assessment process. And they have released some short information about six of the tools that will be used during the assessments. They have also announced that a second trial using these tools will start up again in October. This trial was cancelled earlier in the year as a result of COVID19. There is a bit to look at so we are still working our way through. In the meantime you can check it out by following the links below. You can read the media release here - https://www.ndis.gov.au//5355-assessment-tools-improve-con You can read more about the first assessment pilot here - https://www.ndis.gov.au//inde/independent-assessment-pilot And you can read about the tools that will be used to carry out the assessments here - https://www.ndis.gov.au//in/independent-assessment-toolkit The NDIA have also added some more questions and answers about the assessments. You can find them here - https://www.ndis.gov.au//inde/independent-assessment-q-and And don't forget you can still email the Minister and let him know what you think of the introduction of assessments. The letter is about the planned introduction of compulsory assessm...ents for every single new and existing NDIS participant. The letter does not contain any new information about the assessments. Nor does it address some of the key questions we have all been emailing the Minister. You can read the letter on the NDIS website - https://www.ndis.gov.au//5356-improving-national-disabilit There is an Easy Read version of the letter - https://www.ndis.gov.au//5356-improving-national-disabilit And if you haven't already, there is still time to email the Minister. You can draft your own letter or use ours.
