25.01.2022 During the COViD lockdown I spent a lot of time in my studio making work while I was waiting for the world to reopen. This is one of the works I made during that time. I really love this window and drawing it was an absolute labor of love. I never thought it would leave the studio but changed my mind and decided to enter it into the Gosford Art Prize. The gallery received over 900 entries and this work was not only selected as a finalist but I am delighted to say was awarded... the 2020 Gosford Art Prize by judge Jane Watters, Director of the @shervingallery I am thrilled and humbled to have won this Prize especially amongst such an amazing line up of talented and deserving artists. I would like to sincerely thank Jane Waters for awarding me this honor and @gosfordregionalgallery for making this prize available during difficult times. Congratulations to award winners Rew Hanks, Claudia Kent, Glen Barkley and Amanda Hale and all the selected finalists

24.01.2022 Like so many of our peers and colleagues, we are sad to announce that the 'Hardenvale - our home in Absurdia' at Museum of Art and Culture Lake Macquarie will not be proceeding as scheduled for April. We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the team @themacmuseum who have been incredible to work with in the most difficult of circumstances. We are inspired by the commitment of this team to their community. Hardenvale was always designed as a platform to explore truths... and values around the home and now, as we withdrawn into our respective homes for self isolation, this subject feels as poignant as ever. Hardenvale will resume it's tour later in the year but in the meantime, to all our friends, colleagues, collaborators, and partners across the community, thank you for your support so far and we look forward to working with you again when we move past this unprecedented time. We may be in isolation, but no one is alone. With Love from the Hardenvale team @kellieodempsey @catherine_odo @fuller_todd #hardenvale #home #absurdia See more
