19.01.2022 "Camperdown's Catherine O'Flynn hopes to bring a fresh focus on renewable energy and rebuilding the local economy after COVID-19 in her run for Corangamite Shire's Central Ward. "I'm all for renewable energy, I'd like to see people getting recognition for going solar in their rates, I want to pave a way forward for a sustainable future," she said. "I'm 64 years old but I have children and grandchildren and I'd like to see renewable energy part and parcel of moving towards a c...leaner planet. Her stance differs to the current councillors, who" have thrown their support behind fossil fuel use in the region." https://www.standard.net.au//council-election-candidate-/

14.01.2022 New Funding just announced an additional $2.3 Million from the Federal Government. The Funding will go a long way to assist our townships and communities with wish lists throughout the Shire. It will help create new jobs and provide work for our local contractors, tradies and businesses in our towns. I will represent those who live and work locally as a priority in future council works and projects. One project in Camperdown, our Street Scape needs a refresh. I will work har...d to ensure our street scape and furniture is included on the township wish list. Whilst out and about walking and talking to townsfolk they have pointed out these issues Freshening up our Street Furniture, Heritage Bollards and light poles. Last year the Clock Tower precinct underwent a major works program and it is looking great, now it is time to brighten up the rest of our Avenue. I will work hard to ensure funding from this latest round provided is spent supporting locals and generating income for local businesses. Eli mowing the grass in the Avenue with Grandma supervising, Clock Tower precinct renewal and one tired seat. Bringing us back together. See more

14.01.2022 Local people want better roads, reduced speed in the Manifold Street, and also areas of new housing construction with young families moving into and living in town. Bowen Street speed is 60 and residents want the speed reduced to 50. The construction of new footpaths within the town of Camperdown to be a priority giving local people access to safer pathways. Council has committed $8.7 million to Local Roads across the Shire. Infrastructure project issues is in every township not just Camperdown . In speaking with local residents this one of the top issues. I promise to Campaign on their behalf to ensure the job gets done.
