22.01.2022 Colourstrings is an amazing method that is not yet big in Australia. Next year the founders of the method will come to Canberra in July for a week's intensive camp for all interested teachers! It's an amazing opportunity with rooted in experience and pedagogical principals that will enrich your personal teaching no matter if you will teach the method or not. http://youtu.be/qb-ufWDqB3c

15.01.2022 Hello folks! Just posting some GOOD music theory/aural links for those at any level. There are step by step instructions and well set up exercises here. http://www.musictheory.net/exercises https://www.teoria.com/... I highly recommend integrating these into your weekly study regime. You know what you know and don't know- it's time to teach yourself the gaps and know it all! There is always more to do isn't there...?! If you can learn times tables, you can learn notes! (And if you don't know your times tables- you should probably practise those too...) And to exercise those quick brain responses here is a "game"! You can download it as an app and in a star wars version (called Staff Wars) in the app store. No excuses! http://www.musicteachers.co.uk/namethatnote/

07.01.2022 Last week the studio organised performances at a local concert held by the Gold Coast Adventist Church to raise money for a mission in Mongolia. The concert was a huge success raising a total of $6500! It was filled with love, hope and purity from musicians that worked very hard and enjoyed sharing what the music had to offer. A big congratulations and thank you to the musicians involved. Below are the pieces we selected for the concert. Cello and Guitar Duet: ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckWVni0nWdA Quartet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCXg8xo31h0 Guitar solo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_goHl-GuNk The concert also featured a favourite vocal duet of mine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbviXG_56ss I hope you can join us next time for more beautiful music! Enjoy!

06.01.2022 Casual low-pressure concerts to foster student's confidence and passion for music making through the workshopping and focus on performance etiquette, anxiety and ensemble. An absolutely warm, encouraging series to be involved in.
