(density restrictions apply) This is such welcoming news after months of heartbreak for many Victorian couples planning their weddings. 17.01.2022 REOPENING FOR APPOINTMENTS| We will reopen for in house and virtual appointments from 19th of September! We had plans to return on the first day of Spring but COVID had other ideas. Trying to work through the changes and challenges has not been easy but we are so close to the end of lockdown! 11.01.2022 COVID UPDATE | Just when we were about to reopen, the government has announced the extension of restrictions. I don’t really know what to say but I’m so heartbroken. But I also understand why it needs to be done. I miss my Bridal Loft, my girls, and brides so so much! I am dreaming of the day when I’ll be about to welcome you to try on our gowns again. Subject to case numbers, the new reopening date will be 26th of October. Needless to say the bridal industry has taken a massive blow. I want to reach out to my fellow industry friends and sends our so much love. We are a loving, resilient and supportive bunch, and we can get through this! If you need a chat, please do reach out. 09.01.2022 BEHIND THE SECENS | It’s been too long between editorials, and honestly feels amazing to shoot again. I must admit, it’s been hard the last few months. 02.01.2022 The Cathleen Jia Bridal Loft is going in hibernation. I tried to think of clever ways to explain this but the truth is, she is going to sleep. Before anyone freak out, WE ARE NOT CLOSING FOR GOOD. No, no, no! We are simply letting her rest for a bit. Things around the world has been so crazy, in the last few months we tried so so hard every day to fight the situation. Thinking of new ways to adapt, pivot our business... But the harder we tried, the more exhausted we ...got. If I have learnt anything in the last few years, it is to let go of your ego and be fluid. Somethings can't be forced. And what is going on right now is definitely out of my control. The Cathleen Jia front of business will be closed from 3rd of July until 1st of September. Brides who have a dress on order, have appointments booked already and our stockists, this does not affect you what so ever! We are simply scaling back to concentrate on the back end of the business, and also a few new projects I am so excited to work on. These projects were meant to take place March this year, plans have changed dramatically but it is time I give it the love it deserves. Giving back and doing more for marginalized women and the environment have always been something I am really passionate about. With Cathleen Jia scaling back, I will be embarking on this journey, while my team will be looking after all Cathleen Jia productions. We won't be taking new appointments during this time, and will be silent on our posts but the occasional stories of sneak peeks. I hope to show you more soon. Take care insta fam, see you in Spring.
