Meeting ID: 848 7635 5331 Passcode: 534590 The reading we will reflect upon for the evening is the Gospel for the 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time which is: Gospel: Matthew 16:21-27 A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew Jesus began to make it clear to his disciples that he was destined to go to Jerusalem and suffer grievously at the hands of the elders and chief priests and scribes, to be put to death and to be raised up on the third day. Then, taking him aside, Peter started to remonstrate with him. Heaven preserve you, Lord, he said. This must not happen to you. But he turned and said to Peter, Get behind me, Satan! You are an obstacle in my path, because the way you think is not Gods way but mans. Then Jesus said to his disciples, If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross and follow me. For anyone who wants to save his life will lose it; but anyone who loses his life for my sake will find it. What, then, will a man gain if he wins the whole world and ruins his life? Or what has a man to offer in exchange for his life? For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and, when he does, he will reward each one according to his behaviour. The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. I look forward to seeing you join us. God bless, Fr Charles

19.01.2022 Bible Discussion tonight: 7:30 pm, via Zoom. Several regulars are not able to make it tonight so maybe you could join us if you haven't before. Just a short reading but powerful. Zoom: ... Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84876355331 Meeting ID: 848 7635 5331 Passcode: 534590 Mk 13:33-37 A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Be on your guard, stay awake, because you never know when the time will come. It is like a man travelling abroad: he has gone from home, and left his servants in charge, each with his own task; and he has told the doorkeeper to stay awake. So stay awake, because you do not know when the master of the house is coming, evening, midnight, cockcrow, dawn; if he comes unexpectedly, he must not find you asleep. And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake!’ God bless, Fr Charles

07.01.2022 Good morning, Tomorrow is Thursday and once again we will delve into the Gospel for the coming Sunday, 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time: all about forgiveness. Date: 10th September Time: 7:30 pm for about an hour. Via Zoom:... Meeting ID: 848 7635 5331 Passcode: 534590 The Gospel we will reflect upon is: Gospel Matthew 18:21-35 A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew Peter went up to Jesus and said, Lord, how often must I forgive my brother if he wrongs me? As often as seven times? Jesus answered, Not seven, I tell you, but seventy-seven times. And so the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who decided to settle his accounts with his servants. When the reckoning began, they brought him a man who owed ten thousand talents; but he had no means of paying, so his master gave orders that he should be sold, together with his wife and children and all his possessions, to meet the debt. At this, the servant threw himself down at his masters feet. "Give me time," he said, "and I will pay the whole sum." And the servants master felt so sorry for him that he let him go and cancelled the debt. Now as this servant went out, he happened to meet a fellow servant who owed him one hundred denarii; and he seized him by the throat and began to throttle him. "Pay what you owe me," he said. His fellow servant fell at his feet and implored him, saying, "Give me time and I will pay you." But the other would not agree; on the contrary, he had him thrown into prison till he should pay the debt. His fellow servants were deeply distressed when they saw what had happened, and they went to their master and reported the whole affair to him. Then the master sent for him. "You wicked servant," he said, "I cancelled all that debt of yours when you appealed to me. Were you not bound, then, to have pity on your fellow servant just as I had pity on you?" And in his anger the master handed him over to the torturers till he should pay all his debt. And that is how my heavenly Father will deal with you unless you each forgive your brother from your heart. The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. God bless, Fr Charles

07.01.2022 Good morning on this beautiful sunny and cold day.

03.01.2022 We will hold our third Bible Time discussion this Thursday September 3rd at 7:30 pm via Zoom. Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84876355331 Or... Meeting ID: 848 7635 5331 Passcode: 534590 And here is the gospel: Gospel 23rd Sunday Ordinary Time: Matthew 18:15-20 A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew Jesus said to his disciples: If your brother does something wrong, go and have it out with him alone, between your two selves. If he listens to you, you have won back your brother. If he does not listen, take one or two others along with you: the evidence of two or three witnesses is required to sustain any charge. But if he refuses to listen to these, report it to the community; and if he refuses to listen to the community, treat him like a pagan or a tax collector. I tell you solemnly, whatever you bind on earth shall be considered bound in heaven; whatever you loose on earth shall be considered loosed in heaven. I tell you solemnly once again, if two of you on earth agree to ask anything at all, it will be granted to you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three meet in my name, I shall be there with them. The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. God bless and see you there, Fr Charles
