25.01.2022 Exciting news! Jayne Clarke (CLC Class of 1994) has been nominated for a Westfield Local Hero's award. It would be great if everyone can take a few minutes to vote (link at bottom of this post). Westfield Local Heroes are nominated and voted for by their communities, with the three top finalists per Westfield centre each awarded a $10,000 grant for their affiliated organisation. If Jayne is successful, Big Group Hug will use its grant to establish a Hugger's Club in at leas...t 10 schools, including buying classroom materials and hiring a project manager. Get voting everyone! https://surveys.reputation.com/surveys3/run
24.01.2022 The jump between primary and secondary school marks one of the biggest transitions in your daughter's life. It’s the point at which a child leaves the relatively safe cocoon of childhood and enters the wide world of adolescence. Even without the disruption to schooling caused by the coronavirus, for both parents and their children, it can be a huge shock, as they encounter a minefield of serious issues to deal with everything from peer and study pressures to phones, parties... and beyond. This live webinar is designed for parents of girls starting Year 7 in 2021 or 2022 and perhaps parents eager to learn for Year 7 2023. It aims to give parents all the tools and information that they need for supporting their daughter with transitioning to Secondary School and CLC is extremely proud to bring this free workshop to our community. Book your ticket to this free parent workshop https://www.trybooking.com/BLIII Share with any friends you think may be interested. https://www.facebook.com/events/743769062835121

06.01.2022 With our students going back into remote learning for an extended period of time, WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP! How do you get involved? Simple. Just record a 3 - 5 minute video on your phone (or whatever is easiest) and send to us. Want to know what to include? Easy. You could talk about your current role, your career journey, what you studied (if you did) and the advice you would give your teenage self. It would be great to include the year you graduated too!... We would love as many CLC alumni and any of their friends to help us with this ambitious project. Our Careers Expo cannot go ahead this year due to COVID restrictions however we still want to inspire our wonderful students. We are creating a digital library that our students will access and hear words of wisdom from Catholic Ladies' College Alumnae. Please email all videos to Danetsa Konsky [email protected] and do not hesitate to email through any questions. A huge thank you to the brilliant women that have already sent through videos - the students are going to love them!
