21.01.2022 33 DAY NOVENE TO St JOSEPH DAY 14: Blessed Saint Joseph, patron of all unborn children, pray for us. You were confronted with the most unexpected pregnancy of all time. By the gift of faith and with complete trust in God, you accepted the awesome challenge of being a foster father, a husband and a guardian to the Most Holy Family. No man, except you, could possibly give better example of how a man should respond to an unexpected pregnancy. Through your example of faith an...d belief, an expectant mother, your beloved wife, Mary, brought a new life into this world. That new life was The Light of the World, God incarnate. May you be the example for all men of this world who face an unexpected pregnancy. May all men accept that every baby is a singular and most precious gift from God and have the courage to choose life for their child and love for the mother. Amen. (Pray the litany of Saint Joseph) See more

20.01.2022 33 DAY NOVENA TO St JOSEPH DAY EIGHT: Blessed Saint Joseph, devoted foster father of the infant Jesus, as Head of the Holy Family you were the one true constant presence in the sea of turmoil that was the life of the Holy Family. You responded with prayer, patience, love and trust in God Our Father when your earthly life with Jesus and Mary took threw up a multiple number of challenges and trials following the birth of Jesus. Saint Joseph, pray for us, guide us and help us to honour you by placing our trust in God as our families, too, live our daily lives this world filled with its uncertainties and difficulties. 10.01.2022 Can you Spot the Pope? Staff and students at St Joseph’s in Queens Park held a very special Pyjama Party for Catholic Mission to voice their concern about glo...bal poverty, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Can you spot in the photo who they invited to their party? Yes indeed, Pope Francis was there amongst them delivering his message; In the poor and the outcast we see Christ’s face; by loving and helping the poor, we love and serve Christ. Such a timely and inspirational message for Anti-Poverty week this week. Should you like Pope Francis to be part of your school's anti-poverty activities in support of Catholic Mission’s work amongst the poor of our world, contact Judith at [email protected] to either book his visit or discuss the possibilities. 10.01.2022 33 DAY NOVENA TO St JOSEPH DAY TEN: Blessed Saint Joseph - carpenter, artisan, tradesman, worker and parent pray for us. As Head of the Holy Family, you were the sole bread winner, laboring at your various trades to provide food, clothing and a home for your beloved spouse Mary, Mother of God and your infant foster son, Jesus. You experienced what many workers today experience. Uncertainty in employment; poor wages; unpaid bills and state taxes to pay. All these are as ...true today as they were in your lifetime and all the difficulties the same. Your response was prayer, humility, patience, love and trust in God Our Father and complete submission to His will. You knew and demonstrated by your life’s work and example that real happiness cannot be found in material things but in the things of God. Blessed Saint Joseph, help all families through the strong example of their fathers, to seek less of worldly things and more of the things of God. Amen (Pray the litany of Saint Joseph) See more
09.01.2022 33 DAY NOVENA TO St JOSEPH DAY SEVEN: Blessed Saint Joseph, living example of the virtue of patience, pray for us. You, who always and without question willingly responded to the word of God, despite the many trials you faced no hospital for your wife and child; no safe and secure home during Jesus’ infancy; and for a time, no place to call home waited patiently upon God’s providence in all things. We pray for the virtue of patience in our lives so that we may imitate your blessed example of heroic patience throughout your life. Amen (Pray the litany of Saint Joseph)
08.01.2022 33 DAY NOVENA TO St JOSEPH DAY 13: Blessed Saint Joseph, comforter of the afflicted, pray for us. You, who experienced the true meaning of fear; of sorrow and of anxiety in your own family life, give comfort, strength and grace those who are afflicted by the natural and unnatural disasters, plagues and pandemics which plague our world today. You were forced to flee, in the dead of night, to preserve the life of an infant. You, who lost Jesus for three full days and who m...ust have felt the all terrors and fears of any parent who child is lost - never lost faith in God and never ceased to seek His intercession. Saint Joseph, bless all those whose lives are filled with sorrow and anguish. As the complete model of a kind and loving father, we pray that you will bring consolation and peace of mind and heart to all who seek your intercession in our troubled world. 05.01.2022 33DAY NOVENA TO St JOSEPH DAY NINE: Blessed Saint Joseph, most chaste guardian of the Mother of God, Mary and sole Protector of the Infant Jesus, pray for us. You were chosen by God the Father as the best living example of fidelity, chastity and integrity. One who would lead by example a life of purity and chastity with Mary and Jesus, a shining example of how all fathers may form, build and foster a house and a home wherein love, obedience and submission to the Will of God, in all things, is the measure of that family. God the Son, in His infancy called you Father. Grant, through your immeasurable intercession and assistance, that all fathers may receive the grace and inspiration to lead their families, following your example, to the eternal family on Heaven. Amen (Pray the litany of Saint Joseph)

02.01.2022 33 DAY NOVENA TO St JOSEPH DAY 11: Blessed Saint Joseph, zealous defender of your foster Son, Jesus, pray for us. To you alone did God entrust the care and wellbeing of His only Son. As an infant, a jealous King, fearful of the Infant Jesus, wished to do Him harm. You guarded Him as all earthly fathers guard their defenseless children, sometimes laying down their lives for their children. Saint Joseph, bless all fathers with the gift of courage to defend their children, especially so against the evil spirits of this world who seek to deprive fathers, mothers and children of eternal life with God Our Father. Amen (Pray the litany of Saint Joseph)
02.01.2022 Fun, Faith and Leadership for the Missions at Xavier Catholic School Congratulations to the Year 5s at Xavier School in Armadale for showing missionary leadersh...ip in putting fun & faith into fundraising for Catholic Mission. As you can see from the photos, faith in action can be so much fun. A big thank you to the fun-loving, faith-filled teachers at Xavier who put the bodies on the line for the cause Being fun-loving himself, Pope Francis would be very pleased. As the year 5 Gold team leaders wrote: At Xavier Catholic school we participated in a fundraiser called Socktober for the children of Cambodia for Catholic Mission. We made soccer balls out of art shirts, tape, plastic bags and foam, like the kids in Cambodia who can’t buy soccer balls. We learnt the purpose of Socktober and it’s all about the children in need. At recess and lunch we used our time for a kickathon with the whole school participating. In at the end we raised a total of $400+ . We got the teachers to be the goalies, we had our own jobs such as ball fetchers, money people and score/people writers. With the gold coin donation to wear crazy socks for the day, the school raised over $600 for Catholic Mission Should you like to know more about Catholic Mission’s Socktober programme for your school, contact Judith at [email protected] Catholic Mission - Perth
