16.01.2022 It's NAIDOC Week 8-15 November celebrating the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. "Always Was, Always Will Be" #NAIDOC2020 #NAIDOCWeek #NAIDOC https://www.naidoc.org.au/

07.01.2022 Congratulations to Fr Eka Tanaya SJ on his priestly ordination over the weekend.

03.01.2022 We know many schools, Parishes and organisations were unable to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sunday in July this year, so why not take the op...portunity that NAIDOC provides to celebrate the contributions of Australia's First peoples to the Catholic Church in Australia? We have produced a resource booklet to assist in the planning of your celebrations this Sunday - https://www.natsicc.org.au/2020-atsi-sunday.html NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. The theme for 2020 is Always Was, Always Will Be. and it recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. We are spiritually and culturally connected to this country. This country was criss-crossed by generations of brilliant Nations. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were Australia’s first explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, first scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers and first artists.
