22.01.2022 Congratulations to Francis Sullivan who has been appointed the new Chair of Catholic Social Services Australia Ltd during the first meeting of the entity since ...its recent consolidation. Mr Sullivan takes over the role from Dr Maria Harries, who had served as chair of CSSA for the past seven years. We thank Maria for her years of dedicated service. Paying tribute to Dr Harries, Mr Sullivan said Catholic Social Services Australia has been led with great commitment and determination in recent years, and I know her legacy in this organisation is profound. What I can promise is that I will bring a similar passion for the Church’s outreach to the people our social service agencies support and for whom CSSA advocates. 11.01.2022 A big thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate the launch of Library Connect, a joint venture between St Pat's and the City of Fremantle. Developed in resp...onse to the increasing numbers of people at risk of homelessness during the COVID-19 pandemic, the program sees a dedicated support worker based at Fremantle Library to help vulnerable members of our community access welfare services and support. Since launching four weeks ago, our support worker Sonia González has provided assistance to over 40 people and counting. Many thanks to The Market Bar for providing the venue and hospitality.
