25.01.2022 Sun safety is really important to teach the children and learning through visuals is a perfect way to do this, here our friends are pointing out the picture as Miss Jess names them before role playing with the appropriate props.
24.01.2022 Last week was Educators Week and in particular Wednesday was Educators Day. I am blessed to have such an amazing team of educators who each day strive to achieve excellence in all that they do and all in their very unique ways. So with the help of my little friend at Hippy Luxe a little bag of goodies with a personalised card printed by That Office Place I presented each of these amazing ladies with their own "Happy Bag". Thanks to all of you for all that you do :)

20.01.2022 This week the Caterpillars are learning all about Jungle Animals! They spent some time exploring the animals of the jungle in a sensory trough today.

20.01.2022 The Snails enjoyed reading a book called hey dad, youre great as we talked about all the great things our dads help us with at home. This was then extended by creating ourselves and our dads using the family felts.

19.01.2022 The Caterpillars are learning about their feelings through balloon play by looking at the different faces on their balloon and expressing the same faces.
18.01.2022 The Caterpillars created little insect houses out of play-doh to help them get out of the rain.
18.01.2022 We love felts in the snails room, we dressed our bear in his sun safety outfit so he was all ready to go outside and play.
18.01.2022 Some of our Butterfly friends used their imagination to construct chairs out of the large waffle blocks. They then said how they looked liked school chairs and asked for paper and pencils. Now who remembers having these kind of school chairs?
18.01.2022 As this week is footy week and Miss Karen being Miss Karen classes it as sports week, she thought she would come dressed in her cricket attire she use to wear in the 80s. To which some of our Butterflies referred to as The olden days . They then had a friendly game of indoor cricket in the foyer for half an hour.
18.01.2022 Extending on jungle animals the Caterpillars made snakes. They got creative using bubble wrap and rollers and couldnt wait to play with them once they were dry
17.01.2022 Sitting together as a group is always a wonderful time, especially when we are sharing a special story. Reading at such an early age can help our little minds learn and grow. This week we have started incorporating Christmas books into our group times, the smiles, the laughter and the bonding is truely something wonderful to observe and be part of.
17.01.2022 Introducing technology to the Snails as we learn about families all around the world including animal families while singing some songs.
17.01.2022 The Butterflies completed the large floor puzzle together as a group before then cleverly matching the dinosaurs out of the basket to the puzzle. The children were able to identify some of the dinosaurs from their puzzle.

13.01.2022 Welcome back to all our friends and families. With it being the start of a new year and lots of new faces, this week we are focusing on feelings and emotions. Using visuals, group discussions and drawing how we are feeling and playing a fun matching game with more feeling visuals is a great way to explore our feelings and share with our friends so that we can support each other through this new journey together. Even our Snails are doing the same by exploring facial expressions through playdoh.

11.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to all our daddys out there, our snails have been reading lots of books about different dads around the world.
10.01.2022 Miss Danielle engaged with the babies in a wonderful music and movement experience. We moved our bodies along to the beat of the music, whilst incorporating musical instruments into our play. We all giggled, laughed and explored the array of instruments, the sounds they make, the different shapes and the way we can move them about to create different sounds. This helps to establish new bonds with educators and children. Thank you Babies and Miss Jess for welcoming me into the snails room this week and all of your hearts.

10.01.2022 The Caterpillars continue with their cooking experiences. Today they cut up a variety of fruit to make fruit smoothies and then enjoyed drinking them!
08.01.2022 With the weather warming up, we have been talking about sun safety and the 5 ways to protect ourselves. Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek and Slide. We then had lots of fun role playing.

02.01.2022 Science experiments are so much fun. The Snails explores some dancing sultanas, Using bubbly lemonade and listening to that fizz every time we added more sultanas.
01.01.2022 We couldnt exercise today due to the rain so we bought our exercise into the room with lots of different exercises. Tuck jumps was one of our favourite challenging exercises today.
01.01.2022 After learning how to use a knife safely, the Caterpillars enjoyed their first cooking experience of the week where they cut up some fruit for a fruit salad then enjoyed eating it!
