14.01.2022 What are your 'Strides' going towards? They are going towards employing special leaders in our schools. Dotty - our Programs Coordinator, sat down with Joann - a classroom teacher in our partner community Wurrumiyanga, to discuss CFF's impact in her classroom. ‘Joann believes it is important that we continue to create moments in the school environment where... students can focus on whole person development. This includes being a leader, having and being a good role model, teamwork, and feeling like a superhero...' 11.01.2022 Congratulations to the Yr 12 Graduates! This is something that we are so extremely proud to be sharing with all of our supporters today! Please join us in CONGRATULATING the eight Year 12 students, who graduated from Bwgcolman Community School on Palm Island on Friday. It has been an absolute pleasure to be part of their school journey across the 13 years that we have been working together with Palm Island schools and community. We have watched them learn and grow into the inspiring young leaders that they are today. We can only imagine how proud your families are as we are too! Congratulations and may you continue to strive for excellence no matter what you choose to do next.

04.01.2022 What are your 'Strides' going towards? They are going towards opportunity. Ivy Yoren sat down with fellow Program Coordinator, Geoff Major to talk about CFF’s impact on helping implement a youth program in Woorabinda. ‘It is very important to me because, I’m only a young adult myself, and I got the opportunity to help these students with building their life skills or assisting with anything they needed, because I can relate as a young person...’... 01.01.2022 Congratulations to Sheena, our wonderful Galiwin’ku team member for being selected as the Cathy Freeman Foundation team member of the year! Through this tough COVID year, Sheena has ensured that our programs have still run in community. She has been a reliable, enthusiastic and passionate Program Coordinator who has taken her responsibilities of supporting and guiding the students at Shepherdson College seriously! This last term alone, she participated in our community based Horizons Camp and the FAFT (Family As First Teachers) camp. Always busy and full of energy, we are so lucky to have you as a member of the CFF family. Thank you for your work! #CathyFreemanFoundation #EducationChangesLives
