19.01.2022 Corona Virus (Covid-19) and your cat update. We thought we would do an update on Corona virus and pets as the media has reported that several animals have contracted Corona virus in Hong Kong. Professor Vanessa Barrs (Chair Professor of Companion Animal Health in the Department of Public Health and Infectious Diseases at the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences) and who is a professor of Feline Medicine and Infectious diseases at The University of Syd...ney has informed the veterinary profession of the actual details relating to these cases. Dr Barrs is a world expert on infectious diseases and is advising on the current Corona virus outbreak and advised on the SARS outbreak in 2003. Two dogs and one cat have been tested for Corona virus in Hong Kong. Only one dog has tested positive to Corona virus. It is a weak positive and suggests exposure rather than disease. The dog is currently in quarantine but is showing no signs of respiratory illness and is not sick. Experience from the SARS outbreak (2003) suggests that cats will not become sick with Corona virus and there is no evidence to support that there is viral transmission from pets to humans. The best way to prevent Corona virus is to practice good personal hygiene, wash your hands regularly. We hope this helps Moira & the team. See more
19.01.2022 Dr Gabby was fortunate to have attended the Valentine Charlton feline medicine conference earlier this week at The University of Sydney. The key note speaker was Dr. Susan Little an internationally renowned feline vet from Canada. Dr Susan is a very engaging lecturer and spoke about the importance of not only prescribing medications and nutrition for hospitalised patients, but also prescribing love as an integral part of their treatment plan Being a cat only clinic with a small team of cat lovers we strive to provide the very best individual patient care and frequently fall in love with our patients! Wishing you all lots of love today & extra special Valentines Day purrs and kitty kisses

17.01.2022 Loving Spring We have been brought in two roses this week. So beautiful. We love our jobs because we love our patients. The little thoughtful Thank-You’s are much appreciated.
17.01.2022 ‘Berg’ just wanted to tell all our clients that we are considered an ‘Essential Service’ and for the foreseeable future will remain open to be there for your beautiful cats. Together we will all get through this Be safe, Be Kind and Be Thankful if you have a cat in your life to get through this isolation period.
14.01.2022 Nurse Hannah’s cat Able has recently transitioned to a contained lifestyle after 7 years of having free access to the outdoors. Able is now an indoor cat and has quality outside time either going for walkies on his harness or spending time in his catnets.com.au cat enclosure. Hannah has created an amazing cat palace in his enclosure with the addition of items including a couch, things to scratch, cat grass & a baby change table that she found at the tip shop. Cats love to perch and rest on high surfaces, and as you can see Able loves his baby change table! Isn’t he a gorgeous fur baby?!
13.01.2022 Happy Vet Nurse Day to our incredible nurses from myself, Gabby and all our patients We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful team of nurses ( Michelle, Suzi, Cecilia, Helena, Jordan, Emily & Maggie) looking after us. Without them we would be lost. A single day to thank them really isn’t enough.....
12.01.2022 Corona Virus Update Due to the uncertainty of what lays ahead for our community & our clinic we have decided to limit the number of people that can come with their Cat to the clinic to one person. We have also made the decision to limit traffic within the clinic so clients can no longer use our bathroom amentities, or come out the back of our clinic. If you are visiting your cat we will bring them to you in one of our consultation rooms. We are disinfecting all surfaces ...such as door handles, bench tops & eftpos machine between every visitor. It also goes without saying that if you are feeling unwell then please do not come into the clinic. You can call us from the car park and we will collect your cat. Our vets will have a phone consultation with you if necessary. It is our aim to stay open to be there for your cat should they need. We hope that everyone stays safe during these uncertain, difficult time. Moira & the team. I decided to post a video of my kitten Berg meeting a chicken wing for the first time, rather than another image of the pesky Corona Virus See more

02.01.2022 Further Updates : Covid-19 In response to the government closing down all non-essential services at midday today we are making further adjustments to our Cover-19 policies in the hope that we can remain open to be there for your cats should they need. 02.01.2022 Happy 18th birthday to gorgeous Gino! Did you know that 18 cat years is the equivalent of 88 human years?!
