23.01.2022 In 2 weeks we will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of World War Two. Nearly 1 million Australians served, and over 27,000 died. To commemorate the milestone DVA are providing a Certificate of Commemoration and Commemorative Medallion to every living Veteran of World War Two, believed to now number around 12,000. 23.01.2022 Today, on the 75th anniversary of the end of World War 2, we pause to remember the nearly 40,000 Australian and New Zealand men and women who paid the ultimate price for the freedoms we enjoy. We remember all the WW2 veterans who have been members of the Club over the years, and particularly on this day, the 15 WW2 Veterans who are current members of our Club. Whilst we cannot commemorate in person, RSL Victoria has created a special online commemorative presentation. The pre...sentation will be broadcast on RSL Victoria's Facebook page from 11:20 am to midday today. Grab a 2 litre growler or 1 litre squealer of tap beers - or any of our craft bottled beers when you're picking up your dinner. It has been great to see our members back over the last few weeks. We are truly grateful for your support - and the positive feedback of our new kitchen team and menu. 18.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that the Club will reopen on Monday November 9th at 10am. Attendance at the Club will be governed by capacity restrictions and COVID-safe regulations in place (and will reflect any changes made by the Government tomorrow). Current regulations require:... All Members and Guests to sign in at the front Reception Desk. Sign-in will be via contactless scanning of Members card or Drivers Licence at the Infosign scanner. Members Kiosk will not be used at this time. Entry to the Club will be via the front door only. Rear Carpark door will remain as an exit only. All Members and Guests are to wear an approved face mask unless they can provide a written medical exemption. Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the venue, and we ask all Members and Guests to make use of them. Capacity limits and social distancing will also apply separately to patrons in the Gaming Room. Patrons are to wear their face masks when seated, walking through the venue (to the Bar, Gaming Room, bathrooms etc), however may remove them when seated. Members and Guests may order from the bar, however all orders will be served by staff to the patron's table. Once served, all guests are to stay seated and the venue will be adhering to current capacity limits and social distancing rules. Tables and chairs have been spaced appropriately apart and are not to be moved or joined together. We will be introducing a pop up 'Back Bar' in the Rear Carpark to accommodate more Members and Guests outdoors. This will results in more foot traffic in the carpark, and a slight reduction in car spaces. We ask everyone driving into the car park to be mindful of pedestrians. Kitchen will NOT be reopening this week. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions and the lengthy second stage lockdown, our contract caterers have decided not to continue their contract with Caulfield RSL. We are in discussions with a new kitchen team, however in the short term, the kitchen will not be serving meals. Sandwiches, pastries and hot bar snacks (Chicken & Chips, Fish & Chips) will still be available and can be ordered from the bar. We will advise everyone in due course when the kitchen will reopen. 16.01.2022 In line with the new restrictions just announced by the Victorian Government, from 5pm tonight, Thursday December 31st, face masks must be worn inside the Club. Masks must cover your nose and mouth but can be removed when eating or drinking. Please wear your mask when you purchase food or beverages from the bar, or when walking through the venue. We appreciate everyone's cooperation with this new requirement to assist us to all stay COVID safe.

15.01.2022 Now that the Government has announced Stage 4 restrictions, following consultation with our catering team, we wish to advise that the Caulfield RSL's food service - home delivery and takeaway - will close after the dinner service this Saturday, August 8th. Currently, the date the Government is reporting for easing of Stage 4 restrictions is Monday 14th September. This decision was not taken lightly, and we are grateful for the backing from our Members and the public in suppor...ting the Club by purchasing food and alcohol over the last month. The Club's phone will still be manned at all times and anyone requiring assistance should call on 9528 3600. Veterans should still contact us if the require any assistance or welfare. The catering team have received amazing support and feedback since they joined us at the start of July. This is the last opportunity to support the Club for the next 6 weeks by purchasing food, beers or wine (after all, tomorrow is International Beer Day!). They will be available for lunch and dinner, today, tomorrow and Saturday. We can't wait to welcome everyone back once restrictions are eased in Mid September. See more

15.01.2022 Excuse us while we change! Over the next few days a team will be working to repair damage to our front fence from earlier this year. As you can see, this is more than just a matter of some bricks and mortar being slapped together, with footpath closures, parking restrictions and engineers on site. We'll bring you the finished results later this week.

14.01.2022 Our kitchen maintenance is nearing its completion! As we had to replace the floor, all the kitchen equipment had to be removed and replaced. This has taken a couple of days longer than we hoped, so our Dining Room will now reopen on Wednesday 1st July, rather than on Monday as previously advised. Weve got a great new kitchen team, a brand new kitchen, and an extensive new menu, including this 350g Boston Cut Rib Eye with mushroom sauce, salad and chips. There will be 2 seatings each day for lunch and Dinner 11.30 or 1.15 and 5.30 or 7.15. Book your tables online to be amongst the first to try the new meals!

12.01.2022 Today, on France's National day, we pay tribute to the late Mayor of Villers Bretonneux. Dr Patrick Simon honoured the legacy of his town's liberation by Australian troops in 1918. Mayor since 2008, Mr Simon's determination to maintain his town's special bond with Australia earned him an honorary Order of Australia medal in 2015 and only recently he led his community in fundraising efforts for bushfire victims. He was described as 'Australia's best friend in France '. By late... February, more than $37,000 had been raised. The proceeds are being shared between the firefighters of Robinvale in Victoria which has enjoyed a longstanding relationship with Villers-Bretonneux and the Bega Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund.. We thank you for honouring those who served over a century ago, and today's Victorians. He passed away in May aged 64 from COVID-19. See more

Words can't express our gratitude for your years at our Club, and you will both be sorely missed.
