07.01.2022 By participating in our ride tomorrow you’ll be helping two deserving rescues. The Homeless and Abused Animal Rescue Team - known as HAART - is a not for profit, no kill animal rescue charity based in Perth WA. Each year HARRT rescues and re-homes 100’s of animals that would otherwise be euthanised, go homeless or continue to be neglected. ... HAART relies solely on the generosity of the general public and our supporters for ALL funding and receive no government or local authority funding. Since HAART was founded in January 2012 over 2000 lives have been saved. HAART will continue in it’s plight until the day all animals have a loving home, the decision to spey and neuter your pet is automatic, and we will work tirelessly until rescue organisations are no longer needed. This day will come. also... BARRC is a 100% volunteer run not for profit animal rescue group based out of Bunbury but taking in dogs state wide. In the 8 months that they have been running, they have rehomed over 100 dogs and worked with other rescue groups to rehome approximately 50 more which shows how much need there is in the community. Animals come from pounds, or private situations where there has been an unforeseen change in circumstance through no fault of its own such as a death in the family. BARRC offers a judgement free place to ensure that the animals needs are met to achieve the best outcome. BARRC volunteers are grateful for Bikers on Hogs for Dogs for running these events and thank everyone for attending and showing support because without us all doing what we can, they have no alternatives. Being volunteer run and no state funding available, events like this raise desperately needed funds to save many animals and goes directly towards medical costs, food and beds, training needs and any costs that the animal may need to get them healthy and into their new homes.
