23.01.2022 This young man and his nan are dear friends of ours. They have come to stay for a few days and Brodie couldn’t wait to get out with the horses. He instantly picked Ben as the one he wanted to ride. My initial internal reaction was oh no not Ben he is too big and besides, Lani is the horse we always use for little people. Something said to me, why not Ben, I often get a sense from him that he’d like to hanging out with me more. Some of you may understand what I mean by tha...t, some of you may think I’m a bit nutty to think that and that’s ok. So do you think by the photo that this little guy, who has been having some challenges at school recently, had a good time and that perhaps Ben was the right choice of horse? If ever a photo spoke a thousand words .....

23.01.2022 LIFE ... IT CHANGES WITH EVERY BREATH ... Sometimes these changes are mindblowingly amazing, like having a baby , making new friends or discovering a new favourite place . Other times the changes may be more challenging and get you out of your comfort zone, which at the time feels uncomfortable but the end result is often well worth the discomfort. SO PAY ATTENTION AS I HAVE BEEN BREAKING OUT OF THE CHRYSALIS

17.01.2022 I know that Covid 19 has been horrific for some people but I have to say that I am loving working from home and looking out the window and seeing the horses enjoying mowing the grass for me or having a nose to nose snooze like Drifter and Ben in this picture

10.01.2022 Perfectionism ... a curse or a blessing? What do you think? Anybody else, here have pefectionist tendencies? ... I was just thinking about it before and have come to the conclusion that I may have some myself which actually really surprised me. I would never have thought I was a perfectionist, you know I can quite easily leave dishes in the sink over night, go out without doing my hair or make up and not make my bed in the morning!!! My team leader at work recently made a comment to me about perfectionism which got me thinking about it. And having mulled it over for a while I think there may be areas of life that I have it. One of them is to do with my coaching and teaching. See I have been working on a coaching program for well over a year, maybe closer to two years and have yet to offer it to anyone as I keep feeling the need to "tweak" it. Or is that really what is going on? Maybe my perfectionism in this area is more about procrastination!! Maybe it is a safety net, see if I don't offer it then I can't fail at it or discover that no one wants to use it right? So in my case I think perfectionism is working as a curse for me. I think it is about time I jumped in and unleashed my efforts on you all. Let me know below who else is a perfectionist and whether you think it is a blessing or a curse. Oh and tell me if you think I should be big and brave and offer my program????

07.01.2022 Feeling like sending out a small challenge ..... who’s up for it?? It’s a just for fun challenge that has added benefits. Spend sometime with your horse this week with a note book to hand, notice your breathing and see if you can stop the chatter. ... When the chatter stops, even if only briefly, put pen to paper and see what happens!! You may feel like drawing, note a a feeling, draw a picture or simply have no words. There are no right or wrongs, no agenda, just some hanging out cause you can. Would love to hear from anybody who gives it a go, maybe you can share in the comments
