24.01.2022 Do you have a horse or pony with chronic laminitis? Radiographs are a very useful tool to assist your farrier to trim the foot to have an improved biomechanical outcome for hoof breakover and strain on the laminae in the hoof capsule. This can make a huge difference to the comfort and pain levels of the horse, in some horses evident within minutes of being re shod. These horses should also be trimmed more frequently than normal so they do not get long in the toe and therefore place more strain on their laminae.
