Hello my name is Michelle and I have recently moved back to Darwin for a lifestyle change for myself and my family. I am a mum of 2 very active boys, Caleb 14yrs old and Lincoln 11yrs old. ... Throughout my time working in the Early Childhood Sector I have been fortunate enough to work across various Early Learning Services located in the N.T, N.S.W and VIC. My role at Child Australia is Practice Improvement Manager, I work alongside Supervisors of OSHC and Directors of our Early Learning Services, mentoring, guiding and supporting our service leaders and educators on quality practices in accordance to the National Quality Framework, and actively support Child Australia's mission, vision and values whilst positively representing the organisation. My focus will be to support services to continue to provide high quality Education and Care for children and to continuously strive to ensure exceeding practices are embedded throughout our programs, learning environments and inclusive practices whilst maintaining trusting and respectful relationships with our children and our families. I will have active involvement in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures, goals and objectives of the services in accordance to the National Quality Standards. 20.01.2022 Happy Educator Day to our amazing educators Jessica, Adi, Stacey and Jodie thank you for all you do everyday. Thank you to Tina, Sara, Maria and the CA team at Head office in Perth for our delicious box of goodies they were a hit, and lastly thanks to Michelle for my beautiful flower.

17.01.2022 We are settling into our new space this week, it's been an interesting time watching the children responding to the space and the new routines.

16.01.2022 Today was an impromptu musical day

12.01.2022 Day 6 saw Wanguri Vac Care kids competing in their Chess Competition which was allowed some children to try something new, or to play a game they love which ended in a nail biting final. Day 7 saw them competing in 10 different challenges for our to minute to win it games day, which had the children use many skills to try and complete these in 60 seconds. We also received some delicious cupcakes for our staff and children from one of our families to say "Thanks" for all we do for their family.

12.01.2022 Day 15 saw our part 2 Science Day today we did the Bread Challenge ( what surfaces will grow Bacteria) we tested this on 6 different surfaces around the OSHC room, we then tested what happens with positive and negative molecules using Milk, detergent and food colouring and lastly we tested gravity by created storms in a Jar using water, shaving foam and food colouring fun was had by all. We also celebrated Eryna's 8th Birthday with yummy Cake

11.01.2022 Today was all about our imaginations and what we can create with different types of toys and recyclables, and check out our yummy Afternoon Tea.

10.01.2022 Today we had fun making our own chemical free face masks using ingredients from our pantry. We also did some relaxation with cucumber eyes and some crazy hair do's a great pamper day

07.01.2022 Today we made paper frogs and learnt about their life cycles , we also made little houses and plenty of outside play

07.01.2022 When we moved spaces we lost an area where the children could sit and eat together, or have somewhere to just sit and chill outside, so today thanks to Wanguri PS we took ownership of 2 new tables with seats from HPA, for our Verandah area which the children absolutely loved seeing today when they arrived at OSHC.

07.01.2022 Day 4 - to celebrate world Animal day 2020 we had Darwin Party animals come for a visit yesterday, the children had an amazing time holding, feeding and chilling with the animals.

06.01.2022 So today we packed up OSHC as we know it so we can move into our new space (old yr 5/6 demountable). We would like to thanks Jamie, Mr Morgan, Miss Jess, Miss Adi, Miss Charlotte and both 5/6 classes for helping us move we would possibly be still moving if it wasn't for your help today. We look forward to showing off our new space once we have settled in.

05.01.2022 Days 1-3 Sports day (among the mozzies) so we changed to inside Group games, Asthma in your Mate first aid, Cooking Day.

03.01.2022 Great imaginative play today with both children and educators - can you guess what they are? Once the other children saw what was going on they all wanted to join in.

01.01.2022 Day 1 - 4 July Vacation Care Science Day - We tested the experiment about force and spherical pressure in the Egg crush challenge it was fun to watch who could break the eggs and who wore the egg Art and Craft Day - We created our Belonging thumbprint canvas as well as making thread bracelets. Lego Creation Day - We had 2 groups working together to create 3 different creations which were then Judged on Creativity, design and teamwork both teams did amazing pieces but at the end of the day Team 2 had the winning creations Messy sensory play day today we made Chia slime, oobleck and orbies in buckets of water
