05.01.2022 The collapse of the franchise Pie Face is a warning to those who would buy into a franchise business. There are numerous franchise models out there but beware for many are geared to reward the promoters and franchisors not the franchisees. The cruel trick of franchising is that many franchisees are employees who left the psychic prison of their employment, only to end up now running a franchise where they end up effectively now working for the franchisor with up to 10% per month of earnings handed over to them, regardless of their profit or loss that month. They end up going broke and the franchise is churned over to some new unsuspecting person who may have no real experience in business or is selling a good or service out of step to the needs of the market.
