25.01.2022 At CB Automotive we normally use Bendix pads - here is our new apprentice Stephanie reading the instructions for the new brake pads we are going to be using. Great quality, Quiet and Clean Pads. Ring 3807 22 99 when you next need a brake pad change and we can quote up the new pads.

So a huge thankyou to ever that was that took a moment of their time to think of me <3 We do not what lies ahead of us but there are some things that we can assure you of: a) We are open! And will remain so as long as we can!... b) We are following all the hygiene & social distancing best-practices in our store. Your cars are sanitized before and after servicing. Our Techs have gloves to protect themselves c) You can call ahead with your car and for payment so that minimizes any wait times or contact We appreciate all of our customers and their ongoing support. Things will be tough but as long as we stick together we will get through this.

12.01.2022 Vehicle had no power and was towed in. A minor exhaust leak on a Turbo Diesel Mercedes Benz caused the air filter to soot up and get sucked up into the air flow meter. We have never seen an air filter like this before. #mechanical #smallbusiness #carproblems

11.01.2022 We use a lot of plastic 20 litre containers - they normally have our brake cleaner or coolant in. Instead of sending them to landfill - one of our customer recycles them for shelves in his shed. Just one of the ways we are saving the planet.

05.01.2022 Chris and Tony have been working on this Mazda BT 50 for a few days now. Customer complaining of a Head Gasket Issue - the boys found it easier to access the engine by removing the cab. Customer was quite shocked yesterday when he called in to get some tools - he is hoping its all going to go back together again - Chris said " So do I"

We are still open at this stage - we have put practices into place for everyone's safety.There is new key drop box near the front door. We also have a key basket on the front desk, in addition to the key box outside the office if you do not wish to enter the office. Payments can be made by credit card over the phone or direct deposit into our bank account prior to pick... up again avoiding all contact. 01.01.2022 Your steering wheel can make a clacking or clicking noise when you turn. The clacks may indicate damage to a component in the steering column.These issues tend to progress over time, making the vehicle harder to maneuver as the problem develops. The picture on the left is the component brand new compared to worn component. The picture on the right is where Steph is pulling the steering column apart to replace the worn part. Know to happen commonly in Toyota Camry's and Hyundai's. If you think you have this problem give us a call on 3807 2299.
