16.01.2022 Fine set of images by our good friend JIm McGann from last weekend's show @ Petersham Bowlo - twas great to catch up, Jim! Cheers also to John Gallagher for putting the event together with your usual no-fuss attitude and to soundman Chris for a top mix. And most of all, huge thanks of course to the hardy punters who braved such a brisk evening to come out and support the boogie and blues! We love you all!

15.01.2022 Looking forward to catching up with our friends at the mighty Budgie Pub on the glorious Central Coast - free Sunday arvo show!

14.01.2022 Vale Richard! We owe you for everything. Modern music wouldn't exist without you. Here's a great pic from his Brisbane show in October 1957, along with a wild review of the havoc at his show in Newcastle NSW, plus a press advertisement and poster from his Australian Tour.

08.01.2022 Vale Stuart Fraser Hugely saddened to learn of the passing of fine guitar player Stuart Fraser, who along with his drummer brother Warwick, was part of the mightiest of the 80s-vintage Bunters line-ups. Together with original CBBB guitar-slinger Gary Lothian, Jimmy Bee and original keyboardist Maybelline Broadbent, this two-guitar version of the band played hundreds of memorable shows up and down the East Coast circa 1981-83, often featuring songs like Peter Green’s ‘Oh Well’... and ‘Rattlesnake Shake’. Following his time with The Bunters, Stuart went on to have numerous major platinum-certified hits with Noiseworks, and after relocating to Melbourne became an in-demand session player, working with, among many others, Kylie, Tina Arena and Olivia Newton-John. For the past 20-something years he had been a core member of John Farnham’s touring and recording band. His time with The Bunters will be remembered by us as some of the funniest, happiest and hardest-working years of all. A stellar musician and stalwart team-player, Stuart is, and will be, sorely missed. Our thoughts go out to his family. Below are some pics of the band in those times from shows at Sefton Hotel and the Bayview Tavern, Gladesville. See more

08.01.2022 Here's a nice little flashback time capsule - gig guide for a fairly typical Thursday night in Melbs circa 1981 - soooo many venues with so many great bands - Bunters played Bombay Rock! Thanks Greg Nunan for sharing!

08.01.2022 Okay, folks - no great surprise but we regret to announce that this show is postponed until Sat August 29th. We’ve also had to pull the plug on several other upcoming gigs, due to the advent of the boogie-woogie flu. Strange days indeed. So we hope you all stay hale and hearty, and we look forward to catching up with you on the other side of all this. In the meantime for optimum health while stuck at home, we recommend listening to as many Liggins Brothers records as you possibly can. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwwSYp5EPCo *For those who’ve already purchased tickets, they’ll be valid for the new date. If the new date is unsuitable, full refunds are of course available, and please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

05.01.2022 We're really looking forward to this one, friends! Houserocking this Saturday - note 7pm kick-off time, earlier than previously advertised - and it's FREE!
