I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know what I am doing within CBCMUA to help support my clients, whilst minimise the risk of contracting or spreading the virus. ... BRIDES TO BE (APRIL / MAY / JUNE) I have contacted all brides to be within the next 3 months in order to actively manage services affected, and am offering case-based solutions appropriate for each individual Bride. CLIENTS (APRIL / MAY / JUNE) All bookings are remaining as per usual at this point in time. I will ensure all booked clients are kept up to date if my business is instructed to operate differently. IN SALON & MOBILE SERVICES Whilst I have always maintained my high standards of hygiene in accordance with legal guidelines, I have just completed a course to ensure I am thoroughly educated on COVID-19, so I am confident in knowledge of how it is spread, how to protect my clients and myself, know what to do if I develop symptoms, know what to do if my client develops symptoms and know common myths and facts about the virus, all of which will help myself to spread education and awareness. 16.01.2022 To my gorgeous clients, who’ve supported me since the beginning, I want to thank-you for choosing me. 2014 kicked it off for me in full swing, and I literally haven’t stopped since. Grateful is an understatement to have been able to provide my services for all your special occasions. It breaks my heart to have to temporarily close Coloured by Caroline until further notice is given by Government due to the COVID-19 outbreak. However, it breaks my heart even more to know how... many lives have been taken by this virus. My clients have always been my number one priority, so please, stay safe, this virus is quite literally the devil on earth right now. To end on a happier note; the administration side will remain open for all future wedding bookings, and the situation of closure is to be reviewed in a month by Government so an update will be coming in the near future! 14.01.2022 My gorgeous brides and all other equally important clients.. I think it’s time for a decent update. COVID-19 has been a crazy time for all of us, in both our personal and business lives. It’s impacts were hard to accept, but as a business owner I dealt with the cards given, and am so lucky that my brides have been able to reschedule to later dates, bring on a crazy end of year 2020 and flat out 2021 for wedding bookings!... But amongst the unknown that COVID-19 brought for the past few months, I have also been dealing with something much more significant, and heart breaking. The beauty in the photos below is my best friend Nakita. I was lucky enough to ofcourse be her bridesmaid, best friend and makeup artist for her wedding day too! Nakita is a mum, and a wife, and a daughter too. Heartbreakingly, she was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in August last year. She was an absolute warrior to fight the battle she did, with poise and grace and never had a complaint about it. Our gorgeous Nakita lost her battle in April this year. It’s easily been the hardest situation I’ve ever had to face, and deal with in my entire life. Ofcourse the fact that COVID was in full force made it even harder to grieve given the circumstances, a simple hug during that time was not meant to occur, it was foreign and felt like the world was nothing but cruel... Now that COVID-19 seems to be settling, and bookings are coming in again, I wanted to reflect on the past few months. I also wanted to share the importance of our families, our friends and most importantly our health. Bowel Cancer is no longer an older person disease - it can happen to anyone, at any time. Don’t take your health for granted, don’t be embarrassed to go to the doctor if your toilet time is changing/not normal for you. I cannot wait to get back to being apart of beautiful weddings, but apart from my own and my sisters, being apart of Nakitas wedding will be the most special memory I’ll keep in my heart.
